"You look ugly as shit."
Rin turned around at her vanity, Jirou – who laid stomach-first on her bed – glaring at the spiky haired blond sitting on Rin's bedroom floor.
She wore a casual white dress with blue flowers patterned all over it, the dress reaching past her knees to reveal white sneakers. Her hair was slightly curled, tied out of her face with a blue bow. She was in the middle of doing some light makeup, her two friends playing on Bakugou's Switch in her bedroom.
In all honesty, she'd only invited Jirou over as moral support. But Bakugou had overheard their conversation, prompting him to invite himself over to her house so he could watch the 'shit-show' – as Bakugou elegantly worded – go down.
"Thanks, Bakugou." She said in a deadpan voice. "That's the goal. Your unwanted input was very necessary."
Jirou chuckled, her two friends playing Super Smash Bros on the small screen on the floor.
"Why're you even here?" Jirou questioned, throwing her control into Bakugou's lap after beating him for the third time in a row.
"I was bored and Rin's life is so fucked, it's entertaining." Jirou snorted. "Besides, her dad's making dinner tonight, I'm not missin' that."
"You're awful," Jirou smirked at Rin. "But not wrong."
Rin groaned, standing up from her vanity before collapsing on her bed.
According to her friends, Ryu's dinners were to die for. She didn't really think much of it, but if someone as fussy as Bakugou and as introverted as Jirou asked to stay at her house just to have dinner, her father's cooking must be really good.
It didn't help that she was still having her doubts about her father and her friends had come decently acquainted – as civil as Bakugou could be – with her father.
"Anyways, don't listen to Lord Explosion Murder –"
" – quit it!" Bakugou threatened, only to slightly choke as Jirou hooked an arm around his throat to silence him.
" – you look gorgeous, Rin." She continued as if Bakugou hadn't interrupted in the first place.
Rin smiled gently at Jirou, laying a lazy arm over Jirou's back.
"Thanks Kyoka," she softly said before exhaling. "I just didn't expect him to ask me on a date... I'm not sure why he's putting in so much effort."
"You're one to say – you're the one dressed up." Bakugou added, turning off his Switch now.
Jirou leaned on one arm, looking at the girl who stared at the wall with a blank expression on her face.
"Well, hopefully that means he's actually warming up to you a bit." Jirou commented, Rin glancing up at her friend. "Don't think too much about it. Just enjoy the peace between you two. After all, isn't it good that you two are getting along now?"
Rin nodded, trying not to feel too nervous.

Rin eyed Shoto who sat next to her, his eyes focused on the book in his lap as he nibbled on an onigiri.
When Shoto had told her they were going on a date, Rin hadn't expected him to actually plan something. He simply asked her to dress comfortably and bring two books, which sent multiple mixed signals to her mind about what they were actually going to do on this date.
Pleasantly enough, it was just a simple picnic in the afternoon sun; the two sitting under a wisteria tree at a park, reading together in silence. He'd brought bentos that his sister had helped him make apparently, which weren't half bad. There were even handmade mochis that Rin remembered eating as a kid whenever she visited his house, they were her favourite snack to eat growing up.
