It had been a few weeks since she began working with Enji, and they'd progressed into doing private training sessions on weeknights and the occasional weekends. Even though Enji had initially let her work with him because his son had failed to get his hero licence, he couldn't help but be impressed with her progress.

Much to Enji's pleasure, he hadn't heard much complaining from his student intern despite how hard he pushed her – she seemed to know what she was getting into when she asked him to train her.

And her efforts had been paying off too, Enji finding that she could easily catch up to him while they were patrolling and rivalled his speed. He wholeheartedly believed that in a couple of years, Rin could be faster than he was; she had the heat of the cosmos on her side after all.

She could now use her Starform for an hour and manoeuvred her body nearly as smoothly as Enji could.

Enji sat in an armchair in his personal training room, eyeglasses on the tip of his nose as he read a hefty astronomy book Rin lended to him. Before him was Rin who was practising upholding her white-star Starform, Enji hoping to push her to be able to use it for half an hour longer.

Although he was overseeing her training, his mind was elsewhere – namely his position in the Hero Billboards now that All Might had retired and how his son had failed his licensing exam. Not to mention the whereabouts of Rin's father, which had been at the back of his mind since he'd disappeared but was finding its way into his conscious thoughts the more he trained Rin.

"Let's wrap up for the night," Enji demanded, glancing up from his book to see the white light around Rin's body flicker off before she collapsed face first onto the heat proof mat below her. "Be careful when you deactivate your Starform, that mat can only take so much heat and you might hurt yourself."

Rin tiredly nodded from where she laid, Enji shaking his head as she remained still on the mat.

"Fuyumi should have a cold bath ready, you better cool off." Rin groaned at his words, rolling onto her back.

"Can I just lay outside?"

"No, it's only autumn – you need ice to cool your muscles down."

Rin exhaled, staring at the lights in the training room.

She wasn't the type to complain, so Enji knew he probably pushed her a bit too far that night.

Enji turned a page in Rin's astronomy book, his heart dropping as he saw a heavily highlighted page. She peered up from where she laid, noticing the page Enji was opened up on before she laid back down on the mat.

"Cool, right?" She spoke up, "I didn't know there was something hotter and larger than supernovas. They're called hypernovas, I think if I charge up enough heat, I could possibly make it one of my ultimate move–"

" – no." Rin jumped at Enji's firm and loud retort. "Don't even fucking think about it."

It was a page on the type of star explosions, the annotated section being mostly on 'supernovas' and 'hypernovas'; one of the most powerful supernova explosions in the universe.

Although, Rin's quirk doesn't quite replicate the same amount of power as an actual supernova – if it did, she would destroy the entire earth every time she used her quirk – but it was the most scientific way to explain her quirk and was still a highly effective move.

And knowing how closely her quirk replicated astronomical theory on a much smaller scale, Enji knew that forming hypernovas were entirely possible for her. But, it was too risky. What if her hypernovas were as destructive as real supernovas?
