Rin awoke in a cold sweat, her body launching into a sitting position before her vision turned blurry.

One hand clutched the blankets while the other held her head, the girl groaning as she squeezed her eyes shut.

Midoriya, who sat up in the hospital bed across from her, held an arm out to her with a panicked expression on his face.

"T...Takahashi!" He said in surprise, "be careful!"

Iida and Shoto also sat in their respective beds, the three having been discussing their encounter with Stain in the peaceful atmosphere until she'd awoken and started the three boys.

Rin silently observed her hospital room the four of them resided in, blinking slowly as her eyes adjusted to the bright light seeping into the blindingly white room.

"What... happened to Stain?" Rin questioned as Iida wandered over to her bed, Shoto and Midoriya coming over with him too.

The glasses boy poured her a glass of water while Midoriya went to inform a doctor of Rin's awakening.

"We took him to the heroes after you passed out," Iida informed dully, "he's in custody."

She pursed her lips painfully.

Just thinking about Stain made her feel sick to her stomach; his harsh but well grounded words leaving a nasty taste in her mouth. It gave her a headache just thinking about her father. Stain's words had unlocked an insecurity she locked away into a box in the back of her head: the idea that her father was hiding more than just the arranged marriage.

She held back the urge to hurl. She had to keep it together. Nothing was confirmed – for all she knew, Stain could've just been taunting her.

One thought led to another and suddenly she remembered that she was supposed to be keeping Ryu up to date on everything. Had she been playing into their hands by telling her father that Enji was going to be in Hosu City?

Rin's head shot up before she turned to the bedside table, a stinging pain in her neck due to her quick movement. But she ignored it, determined to find her phone.

Sure, she wasn't sure what to do about her situation, but she knew for certain that Ryu couldn't suspect some sort of unloyalty from her.

"Where's my phone?" Rin asked desperately, the two noticing how her face had paled drastically. "I...I can't–"

"Your father got caught up in a fight during the attack, he was also in Hosu City." Shoto calmly interrupted her. "He's dealing with some paperwork and asked my dad to drop you home, so don't worry."

Rin leaned her head back onto the headboard, closing her eyes. The duo ogled at her as tears leaked from her eyes, the girl hiding her face in her knees. The usually composed and sweet girl was noticeably agitated, something the boys were not used to seeing.

"Thank you for coming to rescue us, Takahashi." Iida said after a moment, holding out the glass of water to her.

Rin had heard about what Stain had done to Ingenium, Iida's older brother, during the Sports Festival. That's why it hadn't been a surprise to her when she saw Iida had been involved in the little fight she and Shoto had stumbled upon. And, even though dropping out had helped her advance in the Sports Festival, she was undeniably worried for Iida.

Rin took the glass of water from Iida, but instead of drinking it, she placed it back onto the bedside table. Iida gaped as Rin shakily lowered her body into a bow towards Iida.

"Iida... I'm sorry that I couldn't help you and Midoriya more than I should've." Iida gently lifted her body to sit back up.

"It's not your fault, please don't apologise." He reassured her, taken aback to see tears running down her face when she'd lifted her head. "Takahashi?! It's okay!"
