Three Dixon's

Chapter 8:

Zachary

I watch as Hailey hits the ground and Daryl runs towards her.

"What the hell happened!?" Asks Daryl
"She was shot" says Hershel "bring her inside so I can check on her and Beth"
We nod reluctantly and pick Hailey up, taking her towards the house.

Hershel runs towards us after finishing up with Beth.

He looks at the wound and says "I can see it from here so hold her down. This may hurt"
Me and Daryl nod, pushing her down.
That's when Hershel takes out some tweezers and digs them into her stomach.
She starts to figit but we keep her down as Hershel pulls out the bullet.

"She may puke some and feel very sick but she'll be fine" says Hershel grabbing a needle and thread.

He starts stitching up Haileys stomach and she figits even more.

We hold her tighter until he's all done and wraps her stomach.

"She'll be good now. Don't let her over work though" he says
We nod and let her go.

Few days later.

She opens her eyes after days of being closed.

"Oh god! Give me a trash can" She yells
I nod and hand her the trash bin hershel left us.

After she's done puking Daryl walks in with water.

"Here you go hails" he says handing her the cup
She drinks it quickly and thanks him.
"Omg my stomach is killing me!" She says laying back down
"Well you did get shot" says Daryl
She nods
He adds "oh we're having a meeting today too. For the boy you guys found."
"I honestly don't care about the boy. He can die for all I care" she says
"Same here" says me and Daryl

Night time.

Hailey

I get up and walk towards the couch ignoring the pain in my stomach.

When I get there everyone is around and I sit down on the couch.

"We should spare him!" Says Dale
"He's threat" I say
"He's just a kid-" he says but I add on "that's growing up in the apocalypse"
"Haileys got a point" says Shane
I smile triumphantly
Dale scoffs and says "your taking advice from her"
"You got a problem with it. Because if you do then I can fix it and don't think that just because im bandaged up that I'll take that doubt off your face!" I say angrily
I feel Daryl place a hand on my shoulder and I take a deep breath.
"Just give me a few days" says Dale
"No we have decided what's going to occur" says Rick
Dale looks at us in shock. He then stomps out of the house angrily

I shrug and walk back towards my bed but stop when I hear screaming. I immediately sprint outside and notice a walker open Dale up.

"Oh gross" I say shooting down the walker
"I'm sorry I snapped on you Dale" I say apologetically
He forces a smile and I call for Hershel.
Dale just has trouble breathing and no one has the guts to shoot him but Daryl points the gun to his head and he leans into it.
I hold in a sob when I hear the gun go off and feel myself fall to the ground in a heap of tears.

Carl

I walk towards Hailey and sit next to her, wrapping my arms around her.

She hugs me back and say "it's my fault" before I can catch myself
"What" she says
"I messed with it at a creek and I didn't shoot it down" I say
"No, it's not your fault. He shouldn't have walked out like that" say Hailey wiping away her tears
I nod and feel her put her hand through my hair.
I smile despite the moment.

Few days later.

We decide to let the kid free and its night when we can't find the boy and Shane appears.

Hailey

"That boy ran of and clonked me and took my gun" yells Shane angrily
I glare at him

Flashback

"Come on. You'll show me to your camp" says Shane
"Oh yea" says the boy "your really going to-" Shane cuts him off because he kills him by snapping his neck.

I gasp from behind the trees and run back to the house.

End of flashback

"Lier!" I yell out
Shane looks at me
"I saw what you did!" I yell
"What are you talking about?" Says everyone
"He killed him" I say
"Yea right. He wouldn't kill him" says Andrea
I roll my eyes and shrug my shoulder, walking towards the forest but I stop and say "I'll be laughing when he kills another of you guys" and I keep walking with Zachary behind me

"Stop I'm going to follow shane to make sure he doesn't kill another person" I say walking towards the forest
"Stay here" I say pointing at the house

He nods uneasily and I run into the forest but start second thinking it so instead I run back into the house.

"I don't trust him Carl. Can you go and If anything happenes you know what to do" I say handing him the gun.
He nods and runs off into the forest.
