I looked at him with tears brimming my eyes. This was the first time I actually got a good glance of my brother. The brother who was my only family left.

"Daryl.." I whispered as I walked towards him.

Sage looked around as I approached.

"Can't believe it was you all this time" says my brother with a wink added.

"Wait, you knew?" I asked

"You can tell when you see a Dixon." says my brother

"What do you mean?" I ask

"Your attitude. It never changes" says my brother as he looks down at Sage.

"Oh Whatever!" I say, happy that he didn't shed a single tear or scream at me in anger.

"See, told you your mom had an attitude" whispered Daryl to Sage.

I frowned at him and I crossed my hands over my chest.

"See know you'll have to get use to this Sage" says Daryl who smirks.

Sage looks at me and smiles as his hands extended towards me but I knew it wasn't purposely..just a reaction.

"Daryl, let me see him" I say as I start to grab him from my brothers hands.

I held him close as I supported his head.

Everything finally seemed beautiful for once i thought

"Hey Hailey, we have to go...we have a place to clear." says Daryl as he fixed his crossbow. He made quote signs around the word 'clear'.

"Wait I'm going" I say

"No, you have a responsibility now. And you have to stay to take care of it" says Daryl

I sigh and look at the tiny baby in my arms and nod in defeat.

"Okay" I say as I start to walk away

"I guess I'll see you later" I say as I walk away. The thought of two babies makes me struggle on the thought of Sage and Judith.

The tiny baby just looks around without a care in the world. The baby not knowing that danger is at bay.

"Your a lucky one. You don't have to worry about them" I whisper to Sage as I make way to my house.

The sounds of laughter now seem to Mock my moods.

They didn't know the struggles. I thought.

I stepped on my porch and made my way up as I opened the door. Only to hear footsteps behind me. I turned around quickly only to see Kevin, Judith and Carl.

I sighed in relief.

"Hey" I say as I walked inside, them following me.

They smiled as they sat down.

I put sage in his crib as I sat down too. My ankle still feeling pained.

"How you doing Hailey?" asks Kevin as he sits down next to me

"Fine now that I don't have to worry about people knowing who I am" I say as I kick my feet up on the coffee table.

I hear Carl chuckle. I frown and look towards his direction only to see Judith with her hand in her mouth. She makes fart noises.

"She's gotten so big." I say as I look at the growing baby.

"Yea she has" answers Carl

I sigh and remember them telling me about Beth.
