Chapter 69:

A/N- Just wanted to say my apologies for not updating but I've been planning a travel to NC which of a matter of fact I'm doing right now. I'm actually going back home and its close to midnight when i update so sorry for any mistakes and if it doesn't meet expectations.

Hailey's pov:

Few days later...

I wake up to the bright light as I let out a yawn and rub my eyes. I grab my new crossbow and Gun as I put my gun in it's Holester.

I walk down the stairs as the sound of chatter is heard.

"Hey Maggie I hope your okay" I say as I hug her reassuringly as to Glenn not coming back yet.

"Yes I am" she says as I notice her force her smile.

I smile at her as I walk out.

Yes I was remembering but Carl was still not excused! He has a girlfriend! Plus Maggie and Carol seem to be the ones I remember but still!

I sigh as I walk out into the roads. The sound of walkers could be heard and the smell was strong and disgusting.

"It's horrible isn't it" says a small boy with brown hair.

"Yea it is" I say as I cross my arms over my chest and look up at the sky.

"Well one good thing is that we're protected by the walls so they can't get in" says the boy.

"Yea" I say as I look at the clouds roaming the baby blue sky's.

I walk towards a guy with curly hair that happens to be Carl's dad.

"Hey Hailey" he says as he looks at the walls he's fixing.

I look at the wall. The sound of creaking could be heard but I put no thought to it as I walk towards my house.

All I understood now was that I for one had this amnesia thing for the second time but whatever it was they said I wasn't having head aches this time. Also that my memories could just come back out of no where.

I walked towards my house as I open the door and walk into the kitchen. Everyone was so uneasy about everything maybe I could do something or I don't know. I look inside my fridge that was filled with food I stole and got on the runs. I pulled out a water bottle as I sat on the couch not allowing myself to eat as much due to the damage to my head. Since they told me we would be safe either way but I was lost and could stay lost in my thoughts, just standing still which could kill me.

I sigh as I push the hair out of my face. I pull out the ipod I found as I put headphones in, letting the music drown out the pain around me.

Few days later..

I walk outside of my house as I see them still working on the wall. I smile as I walk over. Everything was becoming clearer everyday and I was starting to remember.

I walked towards Rick as I pulled him into a hug.

"Everything's actually going to be okay" I said as I moved away.

I can hear someone scream but of joy.

"Glenn" was all I heard from maggie as a smile was plastered on her face.

The creak of something could be heard but that's when a sudden memory comes to mind.

Flashback...

(I'm js this was already flashbacked but it makes sense.)

I look closer into it until I see the person who I once knew. He looks back at me with creamy yellow eyes.

"Merle" I choke as I start tearing up
He just groans and gets up.
"Merle no..." I whisper
"Merle why'd you do this...look at you. No longer the brother the walked out. No longer the person I longed for." I pull out my knife and feel my vision blurr as the tears fill my eyes.
"I wish I apologized for hating you. for not being the sister to love you" I sob but Merle is closing up so I push him.
"Please come back. Make this be a dream big brother" I shout as I push him again.
"I want my big brother back...I'm sorry Merle! I love you" I say as I finally dig the blade into his skull.

I throw myself on the ground as I cry my eyes out and feel a pain in my chest.

End of flashback.

I open my eyes only to see a building above me falling.

"HAILEY!!!" I hear someone shout

I look at it wide eyed as I feel someone push me from beside. I look over and see Kevin smile with a single tear shedding down his cheek.

"I love you" he shouts as the house collapses on top of him. A sudden pain bursts through my leg and arm as walkers start to roam inside the walls. The once safe refugee being ruined as I feel arms wrap around my waist.

They try pulling but a pain erupts through my legs.

"No I can't leave me!" I shout as I look at the walkers that approach us seem to quicken up at the sight of us.

"No we won't!" they shout as they struggle to pick up the rubble.

I push them away with my good arm.

"I'm a burden and I'm going to die today due to my injuries. I will not last this life time. I was not meant to live" I say as tears fall "Kevin just died for me and I wasn't strong enough to move...he's dead because of me" I add as I grab my gun without them knowing.

"Then don't make his sacrifice useless!" says Spencer

I put my hand over my face as I rub my face, frustrated.

They pull the rubble up as someone else pulls me out. I sigh as I look over at Carl who looks at me worriedly. I sigh again as I throw my arms over each of their shoulders.

They bring me towards them.

"Carl I love you" I whisper as I plant a long passionate kiss on his lips.

"Tell Daryl to keep fighting" I add as I pull my gun out and aim it at my head.

"Wait Hailey don't!" they move my hand as they take away the gun.

I frown as they drag me to one of the houses.
