Chapter 21:

Carl's Pov

I watch as Beth handles Judith and Axcel staring at Beth.

I cross my arms.

"May I speak with you?" Says Carol
"Me" says Axcel.
Carol nods and Axcel gets up and walks out
"I'll be right back" says Axcel

He walks out and I can't help but watch as he leaves.

"Your worried aren't you?" Says Beth
"Of course" I say as I lean against the wall.

Haileys Pov

I finally know what we are doing and I wait at the door as I hear it jingle so I hold my fist tight as the door opens.

I watch as Glenn and Maggie ling at the closest guy.

I quickly watch as Merle has a knife to Glenn's throat and Maggie aims the gun to merle.

"Let him go!" Yells Maggie
"Okay" says Merle as he looks to me for help.

I feel myself slipping as Merle looks at me but that's when I hear a click behind me.

"Give me that" yells Merle as he yanks Maggie's gun away
"Get up!" Shouts Merle to Glenn.

I quickly take a deep breath and go to Maggie's side.

They all grab us and drag us towards a room.

I stay still as they make us kneel and I grab hold of Maggie's hand, knowing what will come next.

"I can't believe you Merle and to think I actually did care about you" I whisper

"I love you" is all Maggie says before they put bag over our heads and tell us to move.

That's when I hear clinks and an explosion.

I start coughing heavily but feel someone tug my arm. I feel the bag get removed and I notice Daryl.

"Keep going" he says as we walk through a hall

A few minutes later we hide inside a house.

"How bad is he hurt?" Asks Rick
"I'll be alright" says Glenn.

"How'd you find us?" Asks Maggie but I zone out the rest and walk towards Daryl, hugging his arm tightly.

"Where's that women?" Asks Maggie
"She was right behind us" says Rick peeking his eye through the curtain.

"Maybe she was spotted" says Oscar

I quickly let go of Daryl and hug Oscar quickly.

"We gonna look for her?" Asks Daryl
"No we need to get them out of here" says Rick

"Daryl, this was Merle" says Glenn
"You saw? Face to face" asks Rick
"He threw a walker at me. Was going to execute us" says Glenn
"My brothers with the govenor" asks Daryl
"No he's with him. He's probably a lieutenant or something" says Maggie

"Rick I'm sorry. we told him where the prison was. We couldn't hold out" says Glenn
"No need to apologize" says Rick handing us guns

"If merles around we got to see them" says Daryl as I cling to his arm
"No we need t-"
"Look what he did"
"He's our brother" says Daryl
"We can't leave without him" I say
"Look both of you! We need to get out of here! Ok?" Says Rick
We both sigh
"Fine" says Me and Daryl

Rick nods and gathers everyone as we run outside and behind a building.

"Okay we'll cover you while you run over there" says Daryl
"No-"
"We'll be right behind you" I say grabbing a hold of a gun
Rick sighs but nods

Me and Daryl nod and walk out. Starting to shoot at nothing much.

"We're going for Merle aren't we" I whisper with a smile
"Yup" says Daryl but that's when I hear a groan

I immediately turn around and notice Oscar fall.

"Damn it" I murmur as I keep shooting.

I watch as Maggie shoots Oscar and calls for Rick.

I quickly gather myself and keep shooting. Following Daryl as he goes to look for Merle but then everything darkens.
