Three Dixon's

Chapter 53:

We probably walked about a million miles when I hear a crunch of a twig in the distance.

My initial reaction was to run but the sound of screams kept me planted on the ground.

"Hailey run!!" shouts Carl as they start to sprint the opposite direction.

I stand still with my heart where my stomach is. My reaction is killing me and for some reason I can't move. My body won't let me as I feel someone pick me up and run.

"Let go of me!!" I shout

"Calm down Hailey!! Its Charlotte" shouts the girl

I breath out in relief but the voices of my friends fade.

"How do you know where i was at!" I shout as i try getting away

"I followed you when i was chased off..hid" says Charlotte

"Oh ok" I say as I feel my bile rise again.

"Are you ok? You seem sli-" I don't hear the rest because I bend over. Feeling the acid burn my throat.

The sudden movement forces my vision to blurr. The emptyness of my food causes my vision to smear and my feet to become uneasy.

"Shit hai-" everything blackens when I feel myself hit the ground.

Days later...somehow...

"Wake up" I feel someone shake me

"What.." I whisper as I'm parched.

"Are you okay? You've been out for days" says Charlotte

"Water..." I whisper as my throat feels dry

Charlotte pulls out a bottle that looks unopened.

I take it and drink it all down without her stopping me.

I suddenly notice the clean building with supplies around.

I immediately jolt up.

"Where are we!!" I shout as I jolt up and try reaching for my gun that's not there.

"Its a place called Alexandria" says Charlotte

"Alexandria?" I question

"We're all the way in Washington" says Charlotte with guilt

"We're?" I question

She nods and A little child who's probably 8 walks in.

"My names Tyler" says the boy smiling shyly

I nod and sit back.

"I happened to find him when we walked over here" says Charlotte

I look at the little boy who has icy blue eyes and blonde hair. He stares at me but his eyes seem dark and clouded.

"Hey names Hailey" I say smiling

"Have you seen my sister?" asks the boy shyly with what looks like tears

I shake my head 'no'.

The boy nods sadly and leaves with a gun in his pocket, hidden.

Charlotte looks at me as I get up and stand up.

"Can we look around?" I ask

"Oh Diana wants to talk to you" says Charlotte

I sigh and nod.

"Who is she?" I ask

"A lady..she's the leader and whatever" says Charlotte as she helps me stand

I frown and start to walk.

"I'll just play innocent then" I say as I play an innocent expression

"Alright let's go" says Charlotte as she walks with us

I nod and walk out
