Chapter 31:

Few days later

"Where's Michonne?" Asks Carl
"I have no clue but my brother merle is missing too" I say

"Wait, you don't think he took her to the governor" asks Carl
"Oh no" is all I say before I run into my cell and grab all the stuff I need

Gun, knife, hand made cross bow, arrows

"Where are you going?" Asks Carl
"I need to go over there" I say
"No you don't" says Carl
"Its my brother and i know him more run anyone. He's going to get himself killed" I say as I start running out of the prison
"You can't go alone" says Carl
"Your not coming! I am not putting you in harm's way" I say
"Your not going alone" yells Carl

I take a deep breath as I come up with a plan to sneak out.

"Okay Carl, I'm sorry for wanting to rush out" I say as I kiss him intensely.
He kisses me back as I push him into our cell.

I quickly pull off our clothes as the kiss intensifies and soon enough we're unclothed.

One hour later

I quietly get out of bed as I put my clothes and grab my stuff.

"I'm sorry for this" I whisper to a sleeping Carl.

I quickly write a note and kiss his forehead gently as I run to the place we came through in the first place.

Few more minutes later

Carl's Pov

I open my eyes and feel happiness at the second time me and Hailey loved each other.

I'm about to hug her when I notice she's not there. Instead there's a note.

Dear Carl,

I'm sorry but I went to find Merle. Please don't come looking for me.
I'll be fine but if I don't come back I want you to know I love you.

I drop the note and put my clothes on as I immediately run towards my dad

"Dad! Hailey went to look for Merle" I say
"What!?" Yells my dad
"She left to find him and she knows where you went because she went with you" I say
"She went through her voluntary so she'll have to come on her own" says my dad
"Shes going to get hers-"
My dad raises his hand and walks away.
I mumble under my breath and walk into my cell.

Haileys Pov

I grab my gun as I notice all the walkers in the area.

Where's merle

I shoot down at least 5 walkers before a notice one eating a person.

I look closer into it until I see the person who I once knew. He looks back at me with creamy yellow eyes.

"Merle" I choke as I start tearing up
He just groans and gets up.
"Merle no..." I whisper
"Merle why'd you do this...look at you. No longer the brother the walked out. No longer the person I longed for." I pull out my knife and feel my vision blurr as the tears fill my eyes.
"I wish I apologized for hating you. for not being the sister to love you" I sob but Merle is closing up so I push him.
"Please come back. Make this be a dream big brother" I shout as I push him again.
"I want my big brother back...I'm sorry Merle! I love you" I say as I finally dig the blade into his skull.

I throw myself on the ground as I cry my eyes out and feel a pain in my chest.

Few minutes later

"Please forgive me" I whisper as I finally get up and walk towards a car that is on and put my brother in the back. I smile slightly when I notice it has enough gas to drive to the prison.

After a few hours I see the prison from afar and decide to drive in with the car.

I honk twice and watch as Beth opens the gate.

I walk out of the car and point to the back as my tears keep rolling down my cheeks.

Beth gasps as she opens the back.

I nod and run into the prison and towards my cell as my tears intensify again.

Carl walks in with anger slipped on his face.
