Few months later.

I cross my arms as I stare at the snow falling on the ground.

I hug the jacket closer to my body because of the memories flashing before me.

Flashback.

"Little sister,come on the deer is right there" says merle
I stare at the bow and arrow in my hand.

I was just 7.

"It's pretty though" I say
"Shoot it or gramps will have our heads instide" says merle
I stare at the deer and aim as I shoot it in the head.

"Good shot little sister" says my brother as he ruffles my hair
I look at the snow getting covered with blood.

I dropped the bow and arrow and ran towards the house with tears in my eyes.

"Daryl, merle made me kill a Deer" I say
"It's for us to survive. Its so that we can live." Says Daryl
I looked at him and wiped my tears.
"Be strong hails" says Daryl

"Hails?" I say confusingly
"Nickname for you badass. For killing your first Deer in winter" says Daryl

End of flashback

I smile at the sweet memory.

I feel an arm behind me.
"Hails, remember before" says Daryl
I nod and hug my brother.
"Merle made me cry that day but that was good deer" I say
Daryl laughs but he suddenly becomes serious.

"Merle loved you so much,even if he didn't show it. He regretted not helping you back in Woodsbury. He felt so bad and when you never talked to him he understood" says Daryl as he looks of towards the distance
"I loved him" I say
"We knew" says Daryl as he kisses my forehead and walks towards the prison.

That flashes another memory.

Flashback

"Merle!" I shout as my dad grabs the Wip
I close my eyes and hear the sound but feel no pain.
I open my eyes and see merle looking at me in the eyes.
"Run" he said

My eyes filled with tears as I ran out of the house and towards the tree house he made me.

A few hours later he came to the house bloody.

"Merle!"
I stare at the marks on his back.
"It's nothing little sister" says merle as he winces
"Merle, I'm sorry" I say as I grab the hydrogen peroxide and bandages
"Its okay little sister" says merle as he lays on his belly
"Thank you for defending me" I say
"Of course I did. your my little sister and I love you" says merle
"This is not you. What Did you do with merle?" I ask jokingly
"Merle is being serious right now" Says my brother
I smile and dabbled the napkin as I cleaned his back.

"I love you to merle.despite everything" I say

End of flashback

He always defended me but I guess he got fed up with him at last.

I take a deep breath and just sit on the ground.

"Hailey? you okay?" Asks Caiyden
"I'm fine, its just memories" I whisper glumly
"Being sad is bad" says Caiyden
"And being cheesy will get you pu-" I'm cut off by something cold hitting my back
"What was that?" Says Caiyden mockingly

"Oh no you didn't!" I shout playfully
He smiles
I grab a fistful of snow and toss it at his face but he suddenly falls back at impact.

"Caiyden!" I shout as I run towards him
I kneel beside him but he suddenly jumps on me.
"Got you" he says as he gets on top of my and tickles me.

"No!" I shout as I start to laugh
He smiles and tickles me more.
I laugh more but that's when I notice him stop.

He looks down at me and smiles.
I suddenly feel my cheeks blush and before I know it I feel lips against mine.

I feel a spark when we kiss but it's not as big as Carl's when he kisses me.

I suddenly realize we're kissing.

I pull away and push him off as I get up but when I turn towards the prison I notice Carl with flowers dropped at his feet and tears in his eyes.

"Carl..." I whisper
He wipes at his eyes and runs into the prison.
