Chapter 7 : The Perfect Gift
As Zoro continued to follow you through the shopping district, he couldn't help but shake his head in disbelief at the absurdity of the situation.
He was a swordsman, a member of the Straw Hat Pirates, the first mate of his crew and here he was, holding throwing knives at a carnival game stall while following an oversized cat. It was a bizarre turn of events, to say the least.
Deep down, he couldn't deny that there was something intriguing about you. The fact that you understood and responded to his questions was perplexing, and he couldn't help but wonder about the mysteries surrounding you.
As he contemplated all of this, he found himself absentmindedly participating in the carnival games, almost as if he were being guided by your presence. Despite his initial annoyance, he could not say no to you when you started wagging your
You had walked by multiple stores to find the perfect gift for your father but none seemed to catch your eyes. That was until you saw a beautiful sized pendant that had the perfect representation of your relationship with him.
It had two cats curled up with each other, one white and one black. Giving the perfect yin and yang shape but the difference was that there was no white or black dot in the center of both cats. In the intersection of the cats hugging, there was a bright amber gemstone in it.
However, the fact that you couldn't simply buy, it had to be won, it presented a challenge.
You couldn't participate in the game yourself, given your current feline form. But you were determined to get that pendant for your father.
You glanced back at Zoro, with an idea in mind, you meowed and gestured toward the pendant, trying to convey your desire to Zoro. You hoped he'd understand and agree to help you win the beautiful pendant.
" Huh? You want that? But you're a cat, what would you need that for? " Zoro stared at the pendent you kept meowing at.
Uncertain on what to do to convince him, you started praying to the anime gods as to what you will do next.
' Please, please, please, let this work! ' You took everything in your power to active an adorable and irresistible googly eyes towards him
As you activated your adorable, googly-eyed feline charm, you gazed up at Zoro with the most innocent and pleading expression you could muster. Your big, shiny, and irresistible eyes were locked onto his, conveying your desire for that pendant in the shop window.
Zoro felt strangely captivated by your gaze. He couldn't explain why he was so drawn to the idea of helping a cat obtain a piece of jewelry, but something about those eyes tugged at his heartstrings.
He blinked a few times, his resolve weakening under your adorable assault.
"Alright, alright, stop with the eyes," he grumbled, surrendering to your charm.
"I'll try to win it for you. But I better not regret this."
You meowed in delight, satisfied that your plan was working. With Zoro's agreement, you felt one step closer to obtaining that pendant for your father.
You purred and rubbed against Zoro's leg, showing your appreciation for his help but it apparently had the opposite effects. His whole face had started to turn red and he started backing a few feet away from you.
You weren't sure what made him react as such but it doesn't matter. Now, you both had a mission to accomplish.
His heart was racing and he couldn't calm it down, so he did what has always done, he set aside that unusual feeling and walked up to the store owner to pay for a few rounds.
