Chapter 11 : Decision
"Ne, Y/N-Onee Chan! Join my crew! Shishishi!" he exclaimed with his trademark grin, his excitement radiating from every pore.
Luffy's invitation hung in the air, and you could sense that some of them had reservations about it. The crew members exchanged glances, and it was Nami who voiced their collective concerns.
"Wait a minute, Luffy," Nami began, her brows furrowing as she directed her gaze at you. "She's a cat, for crying out loud. How is she going to join the crew?"
Usopp chimed in, his imagination running wild. "Yeah, and can a cat even be a pirate?"
Sanji, while puffing on his cigarette, offered his perspective. "I mean, Chopper's a reindeer."
You couldn't help but chuckle at their concerns, understanding that your unique situation might be hard for them to grasp.
Rayleigh, who had been observing the crew's discussion, decided to provide some clarity. "I think you all are misunderstanding something here. Gatita-chan," he nodded towards you, "has her own path and responsibilities. Joining a pirate crew isn't in her plans."
Luffy, still determined, defended his invitation. "It doesn't matter! Shishishi, we can have a whole bunch of fun adventures together! So I want her to be with us!"
"One day, we'll go on an adventure just like they do! Right?"
Your brother's voice echoed in your mind, the tone mirroring what Luffy had said.
Robin, who had been quiet during the conversation, finally spoke up. "If she decides to join, that's wonderful. I wonder if she is capable of taming Luffy?"
As you observed their interactions, you felt a warmth in your heart. They may have had reservations, but the crew's concern for your well-being and their willingness to accept you into their fold, even as a cat, left you feeling grateful for the unique family your brother had found on his extraordinary journey.
For a moment, your heart skipped a beat as you processed his unexpected offer. Joining the Straw Hat Pirates, embarking on wild adventures across the Grand Line, and standing alongside your new little brother Luffy—it was an enticing idea. But you knew that things were never that simple.
You had your own mission and responsibilities, and your father's wishes to consider.
However, as you looked into Luffy's eyes, brimming with unwavering determination and trust, you couldn't help but smile. His invitation was a testament to the unbreakable bond between you two, a bond that transcended worlds and dimensions.
"Yup, I promise!"
With a playful meow and a mischievous glint in your eyes, you responded, 'Luffy, I appreciate the offer, but I've got some things to take care of first. But who knows, maybe we'll cross paths again and I'll think about it again!'
Luffy, although a bit disappointed, eventually relented. He respected your decisions and understood that family bonds were important.
The crew stared at you after Chopper helped translate, the topic of your potential membership put to rest for the time being.

Rayleigh stood outside Shakky's bar, holding his coating material bag, and addressed the Straw Hat crew. "As we discussed, here is my vivre card. We will meet again in three days."
The crew nodded in understanding, accepting the vivre card and the upcoming arrangement. Luffy's smile held both hope and a touch of sadness as he watched you find your comfortable perch on Rayleigh's arm.
