Chapter 16 : Hope
On the chaotic battlefield, amidst the deafening clashes of power and the cries of war, the higher-ups of the Marines issued orders to divide their forces.
Their aim was clear: engage both the Blackbeard Pirates and the Whitebeard Pirates. Additional Marines emerged from concealed underground passages, further complicating the already tumultuous situation.
Meanwhile, Ivan-chan, the leader of the Okama Island and a master of the Okama Kenpo martial art, managed to seize Sabo while Jimbei carried Luffy to safety. Sabo and Luffy had been successfully retrieved, each with their respective caretakers.
Luffy and Jimbei joined forces with Law, who was determined to get Luffy the medical attention he needed. On the other hand, Ivan-chan, a loyal ally, retreated with Sabo and Ace, keeping them together during this turbulent time.
In the midst of the chaos, Blackbeard, the enigmatic and power-hungry pirate, made his dramatic entrance. It was revealed that Whitebeard, the legendary pirate captain, had met his demise at the hands of Blackbeard.
The ruthless pirate had managed to seize Whitebeard's Devil Fruit powers after his death, a feat that sent shockwaves throughout the pirate world.
Reveling in chaos and destruction, Blackbeard let out hearty laughter that echoed across Marineford. He unleashed his formidable power, creating colossal shockwaves that reverberated through the battlefield and the surrounding ocean, conjuring massive waves in the process. Jesus Burgess, a member of Blackbeard's crew, raised concerns about the consequences of their actions, fearing they might lose their footing.
But Blackbeard remained undeterred, taunting the likes of Garp and Sengoku, vowing to end their legacies as he had with Whitebeard.
Amid the cacophony, an unexpected voice rose above the clamor, silencing the battlefield. It was Koby, a young and courageous Marine who had found newfound conviction in his heart.
He implored all combatants to cease their fighting, passionately arguing that the Marines had already achieved their objectives. Chasing down pirates who no longer sought confrontation, he asserted, was a waste of precious lives.
Koby pleaded for the wounded Marines to receive the medical treatment they deserved, rather than being left abandoned on the battlefield.
However, Akainu, the relentless and unyielding admiral, dismissed Koby's heartfelt plea. He readied himself to deliver a fatal blow, determined to silence the young Marine. But before Akainu could execute his deadly attack, a formidable presence intervened.
It was Shanks, the legendary captain of the Red-Haired Pirates, who blocked Akainu's magma-infused fist with his sword, bringing the admiral's assault to a halt.
Shanks praised Koby for his remarkable courage, acknowledging that those few seconds of bravery had altered the course of history.
Seizing this pivotal moment, Law, the skilled doctor and pirate, made his escape. He urged Buggy to swiftly take Luffy and Jinbe aboard his waiting submarine.
With an authoritative demeanor, Shanks addressed the remaining Whitebeard Pirates and the Marines, requesting that they allow him to save face.
The Whitebeard Pirates mourned the loss of their captain, Whitebeard, and the tragic sacrifice of their other brothers, while the Marines seemed indifferent to the outcome.
Shanks proposed taking the bodies of Whitebeard and Y/N, refusing to let their deaths become a spectacle for the world to witness.
Sengoku, the Marine Fleet Admiral, conceded to Shanks' request, willingly accepting full responsibility for the consequences of their actions.
