Brett, please, can we give us a chance. Kung wala naman kayo ni Gem.

I winked and stared at the woman in question. Ang pangalang kanina pa binabanggit ni Rio.

Gem's office door which was stenciled along with its wall was situated diagonally to me. May malinaw na part ng pinto sa gilid at sinakto ko talaga ang silya ko para makita ko siya nang malinaw sa maliit na siwang na iyon.

She was wearing a long yellow dress today. There was a slit on her left leg which was crossed on top of her right leg. 

She was swaying her wedged-clad foot. The wedge was also yellow. Her straight hair had bangs and flowed like a curtain beside her face. I knew she ironed that. Madalas ay pumapasok siya nang medyo wavy and buhok. It was silky and soft to the touch. I was enjoying that every time she was near me.

I have been in this company for two weeks now. My days were filled with meetings with the executives, online and face-to-face, training other managers, and being on hand to make sure that the digital system was working perfectly.

They were also filled with Gem. A lot of her. And I was happy.

I met Rio yesterday in a private resthouse of a friend that was made available for us.

It should be in my own resthouse, but for some reason, iniatras ko iyon at the last minute.

Nadala ko na din si Rio sa lugar na iyon noon. But I noticed that every time I was doing that, nothing seemed to work right. I felt God didn't want me to bring Rio to that place. 

I even wonder what would happen if I would bring Gem there. I should be able to know one of these days.

Brett, she texted again.

I want to be that good man for Rio. Ayaw ko siyang sisihin sa kahit ano. Maybe I have a part in our lukewarm relationship. Wala akong ginawa to ignite the fire. I didn't reassure her. At kahit nababalitaan ko na mayroon siyang iba kapag wala ako, hindi ko siya kino-confront.
