Our first stop was Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Brett rented a vintage convertible MB. Hindi ko iyon inaasahan. The car was classic in metallic blue. I love it
"Gusto mong gumala?" I asked him.
He nodded.
"Bawal naman tayo magpa-picture."
He stopped and opened the compartment of the car. Inilagay niya ang mga bagahe namin doon. "Why, are you just visiting places para makapagpa-picture?"
"Noon oo. Pero dahil hindi puwede sa work, kuntento na ako sa nadadaanan ko na lang. Tapos rest sa hotel kapag walang ginagawa."
He grinned. May naiisip na naman ang loko. "Sige sa hotel na lang tayo."
I rolled my eyes.
He got me in the car and he sat on the driver's seat. We drove off.
We stopped at a convenience store. Naloloka ako sa GPS na nagsasalita. Turn right, turn left, sharp left, sharp right.
He got a few sandwiches in ToGo Sandwich store. Phillis steaks and pastrami. He got alcoholic drinks, too.
Napatingin ako nang ilagay niya iyon sa backseat. Few beers, Samuel Adams, draft and malt. May Baileys at Khalua, and Jose Cuervo Gold.
I looked at him. "Plano mong maglasing?"
"Lalasingin kita," he grinned.
I rolled my eyes. "And I presumed we are sleeping in the same room?"
He looked at me all of a sudden. "Darn! Payag ka?"
I laughed. "So, we're not?"
"Dahil iniisip ko na hindi ka papayag. Baka awayin mo pa ako."
