"M-Maybe if you own El Dorado, you won't have to see me around?" I replied with a hesitant tone.

"I thought of that too. If only I can buy El Dorado, I will. Just to not see you again."

Then the pain won't have to ache this much.

This is my biggest reason to why I didn't want to go back here; meeting the new Yuri far different from the Yuri I left.

For the past eight years, I worked so hard to teach my heart that we're better apart, out of each other lives. Iyon ang pinamumukha ng mga nangyayari ngayon sa akin: that we're better on our own.

We really can't stay here for long, I need to convince Dad as soon as possible.

Oh. How bad did I space out?

"Nandito na po tayo."

I looked outside the window and confirmed that we had arrived at the hotel. "I'm sorry. I didn't notice."

"Okay lang po ba kayo, Ma'am?"

"Yes." I pushed my hair back.

"Naku, huwag niyong isipin 'yon. Hayaan niyong siya ang umisip sa inyo." Tumaas ang dalawang kilay niya. "Siguradong mas iniisip kayo no'n."

Thank you, I guess?

I just gave the driver a tip for being patient.

"Welcome back to Corazon, Ma'am."

Some nights are spent here at the hotel, most are at Dad's house.

I entered the unit extremely bothered. I can't get off my head every word he said. I can't even get rid of his image. I wished for a photographic memory when I was a student, not now that I want to forget his face!

"It's not like I want to see you too." If only I have the right to get mad at him, baka sinagot ko pa siya kanina. Eh, 'di bilhin mo! That sounds like a good response.

"I hate it here."

I thought of going to the park to help him sell ice cream but it's still early.

So I decided I'd just clean his house to distract myself until it was time to pick up Hiko from the workshop.

It's not that messy nor disorganized, but it looks gloomy. I decided to put some colors so I dropped by the nearest department store to grab curtains, table mantles, chair covers and the such.
