headcanon: lars had to sell his body to help pay for food and the house, he had to help raise his younger brother and make sure his parents don't spiral down even further, he was still a teenager when he had to do it, he doesn't want his wife, angela, to find out about his past, he's afraid that he'll be seen as dirty and unpure.
