“Nihao! Grabe! Na-miss ko kayo girls!”
“Wow, amoy Hongkong!”
We are here in front of the Registrar, lining up.
“Pasalubong namin? Kanina ka pa umiiiwas sa topic ah.” Pilit na pangungulit ni Kiya kay Mila. They’re still not done with that ‘pasalubong’ convos, mula sa group chat namin, hanggang dito.
“Ngi, akala ko ba wala dapat pasalubong si Kiya? We talked about it two days before your flight.” Singit ni Jamie, she was pouting and holding Mila’s arm.
“Aba-aba, may pinag-usapan pala kayo na kayong dalawa lang?” Kiya dramatically said.
Jamie rolled her eyes. “Paano ba naman kasi, ang isang kaibigan namin ay busy sa jowa niya.”
“Hoy, gaga ‘to! Makapag-salita akala mo eh ilang taon akong na-MIA.”
Napa-iling na lang ako.
“I bought you lucky charms, hehe.” Mila beamed to stop their little immature fight.
I got the color blue. It was cute, may pendant na small origami paper plane na silver. I wore it and it perfectly fits my right wrist.“Thank you,” I muttered. She just gave me a smile.
Kiya got the mint green one with a green rose pendant and Jamie got the light pink, pink na letter J din ang pendant.
“Bakit rose ‘yung sa’kin? Anong connect sa Kianna?” reklamo ni Kiya.
“Ang arte mo, rose in bloom ‘yan. In short, may dilig.” Jamie laughed. She went behind me to cover herself from any possible attacks Kiya would release.
“’Wag niyong sabihin na pinag-usapan niyo ring dalawa ‘yun?” Kaagad na lumingon si Kiya kay Mila, but Mila quickly looked on the opposite side, avoiding Kiya’s glare.
“Oh gosh! Talaga namang dino-dogshow niyo ako, no?”
“Hoy Kiya! Hindi ah, that was a thoughtful act. Pakiramdam ko kasi rose pendant would suit you well.” Rason naman ni Mila. Jamie’s still behind me, having a hard time suppressing her laugh. There was an empty monobloc chair, kaya naman lumapit na ako dun. But someone got if first. That familiar blonde girl. She was about to sit down when she noticed me.
“Oh? You’re lining up?” she asked. My mouth went agape. I’ve never seen her upfront. Palaging sa malayo ko siya natatanaw. So, seeing the full view of her face right now, shocked the hell out of me.
Her eyes had the shades of blue. Not too pigmented neither too light. Hindi mo makikita sa malayuan, but if you would look at her closely, you will notice. There were also some visible authentic freckles on her face.
She has also a prominent jaw line and her nose was in a perfect form. She looked more like a foreigner.“Are you getting this chair or what?” tanong niya ulit but in a low voice.
“Uh, no you can have that.” She smiled widely revealing her bunny teeth before sitting.Wow...
“Audrin!” biglang may lumapit na babae sa pwesto niya. A small girl in a clean ponytail.
“Probably, Mall.”
“Sama ka sa’min. Iinom kami sa Hang-Over.”
