1 - Best Friends

From this point, the scenes will cut back and forth. The Avengers will not only be watching Vivienne's story but Katniss' story as well until they eventually combine.

[Viv and Thresh are seen wandering through the streets of District 11, standing shoulder to shoulder.]

[The duo has grown a lot over the last few years, both more muscular, taller, and more mature.]

"How old are you now, here?" Vision asked curiously.

Blake looked over at him for a split second before looking back at the screen so she could watch her old best friend as much as she could before responding, "18. This is the last year either of us would've been able to qualify for the Hunger Games."

Everyone was shocked to hear her age; all this was happening, yet she was still so young, there was so much left to happen.

[The sun was slowly setting in the distance, so everything slowly gets darker as the scene goes on.]

Thresh: Where do you think you'd be if it wasn't for the games?

[Viv looks up to him, mildly amused.]

Viv: I mean, a lot less traumatised, I guess?

[Thresh pushes her shoulder slightly, causing her to stumble a little, making him laugh while she pouts at him.]

Thresh: You know what I mean.

Viv: I don't know. I guess we'd still be in school. I'd like to think I'd be dating someone.

[Thresh smirks over at his best friend.]

Thresh: Really? Any ideas on who?

Viv: No. But she'd have to be strong and independent; but also, I want to be able to rely on them, and they can rely on me.

[Thresh looks at his friends and smiles as she keeps talking.]

Viv: Gotta have layers as well; can't be with a boring person. I like it when they're complex; an air of mystery around her, I'd say.

"She is literally just describing Nat," Tony whispers to Peter, who was sitting on his left, earning a nod of agreement from the boy.

Thresh: She sounds perfect for you.

Viv: I agree. She'd also have red hair. I love red hair.

This is the point where everyone starts laughing. Past Blake had described her future lover perfectly. It's almost like she could predict the future.

Blake sank into her chair, blushing, slightly embarrassed by her past self.

Natasha found it adorable that her Blake was looking for someone exactly like her, and it just confirmed in her mind that they were truly meant to be together. They were designed for each other; yes, they had to go through countless obstacles to get to this point, but they did it, and Natasha couldn't be more thankful for the universe bringing them together.

[Both Viv and Thresh start laughing together.]

Viv: What about you?

Thresh: I don't know. Not now, but in the future, I'd want kids. Have a family. [Smirks] Live next door to my annoying best friend and her wife.

Viv: [Huffs in annoyance] Rude.

[The scene cuts to the two climbing onto the roof of Vivienne's house in the Victors' Village.]

[The two take a moment to get comfortable lying next to each other, holding hands.]

[Silence surrounds the duo, and they look up at the night sky.]

[The Silence continues for a while until Vivienne whispers out, breaking it.]

Viv: You know, I've always dreamed of going to space.

"Space was fun, by the way." Blake grinned, earning herself several eye rolls in return. Space had been a dream of hers since she was a toddler, and her father would point out all the different stars and constellations. So, the fact she got the chance to go to space and live out her dream was something she never shut up about and would bring up in as many conversations as she possibly could.

Thresh: Really?

Viv: Yeah. I mean, there has to be so much out there.

Thresh: What do you think is out there?

Viv: Life. More life. This can't be it.

Thresh: Hmm

Viv: I bet there is a planet out there just like ours where the Hunger Games doesn't exist. And you know what? I'm going to live there one day. I'm going to live the life I always wanted.

Thresh: What about everyone here?

Viv: You'll be coming, of course. And both our sisters. Run away and never look back.

Blake smiled sadly at the screen. Yes, she ended up getting her space adventure and living on a planet like the one she hoped for; she did it alone without her friends. Although she made many more along the way, it always tugged at her heart. She never got to experience it with Thresh, the person who taught her friendship and love.

Thresh: I'd like that. Very much. But how are we getting to space?

Viv: [Scoffs] That is a small detail that I will deal with later.

[Thresh just laughs with a smile on his face.]

[The Silence returns for a moment before this time Thresh breaks it.]

Thresh: I got you something.

[Viv looks at him curiously as he grabs something from his pocket.]

Viv: A necklace?

Thresh: A pendent.

Natasha had her arm wrapped around Blake's shoulders, so on instinct, she reached towards the pendant necklace that rested on Blake's neck, fiddling with it with her fingers.

[Thresh hands it over to Viv.]

[The exterior design was identical to her pin, which held a raven.]

[Viv carefully opened it, and inside there were two pictures. One of Vivienne, Thresh and Luna, and the other one was a much older picture. A picture of Vivienne's dad holding a baby Luna while Viv holds onto his side.]

Viv: [Whispers.] Oh my god. Where did you even get that picture?

Thresh: I found it when I was helping move your stuff over to this house. I know how much he meant to you, so I added it.

[Viv was openly crying at this point, so the boy pulled her into a tight hug, whispering words of reassurance into her ear.]

Everyone once again found themselves smiling at the two best friends. They were indeed something to look up to and to aspire to. True friendship.
