9 - Ceremony pt.1

[The scene cuts to a large stage in front of a large audience where we see Caesar talking.]

Caesar: Thank you! Thank you! Welcome, welcome, welcome. Welcome to the 74th annual Hunger Games.

[The audience cheers loudly causing Caesar to laugh in delight. They continue to cheer as he continues his next news.]

Everyone continues to be in complete shock of how insensitive these people are; no matter how many times they see it happening it's not something they will ever be able to process.

Blake has been getting more and more uncomfortable during this whole process.

She has been watching the most painful moments of her life, things she wished she never had to think about again.

She somehow founds finds more ways to get closer and closer to her fiancé. At this point she probably couldn't get closer if she tried.

Natasha happily accepted the closeness to the love her life; especially knowing she needs the comfort.

Caesar: In about 5 minutes, they're all going to be out here. All the tributes you've heard about. Are you excited? Let me hear it!

[The audience screams, but it fades as the scene changes to the District 11 dressing room where we see Thresh and Viv in conversation.]

Viv: You look handsome.

[Viv gently smiles as she fixes her best friend's tie.]

[Thresh smiles down at Viv and they hold eye contact.]

[Looking down and sighing, Viv speaks up.]

Viv: Remember, we are a couple now. This is the real time to push that, they love me, so they'll like you.

[Thresh raises his eyebrows and gives a cheeky grin.]

Blake sadly smiles seeing the cheeky grin on his face. God, she missed his stupid face.

Thresh: I've obviously been in love with you since the day we met. Isn't it obvious?

[Viv matches his amused look and smiles up at him.]

Viv: I really do love you. You know that, right?

[Thresh just nods, pulling Viv into a tight hug.]

Thresh: I love you.

Sensing Blake become more emotional, by the words spoken from her past – Nat places a lingering kiss on her forehead, whispering words of reassurance.

[The pair of best friends remain in their hug, Viv's arms around Thresh's neck while his hands are placed around Viv's waist.]

[They don't loosen their grip on each other as they sway together basking in each other's company. Both acutely aware their time together is running out.]

[A close of Viv's face is shown as a single tear rolls down her cheek.]

Peter looked over at Blake when he sees the tears. It's a sight he is still not used to – Blake has always been the strong one. Remaining strong in every situation no matter how hard.

This whole experience has allowed him to see a new perspective of not only The Raven but superheros in general. They don't have to be perfect. They don't have to always be strong.

They are allowed to feel.

He is allowed to feel.

[The scene now cuts to District 12's dressing room where we see Katniss and Cinna.]
