-Hatori's Pov-

Almost a month has passed since Akito's and Y/n's argument. I've been doing my best to keep them apart, assigning Y/n to different chores around the main estate.

Momiji as well was a frequent guest this month and on one occasion, Akito had seen him from her window heading in the direction of Y/n's quarters. I haven't seen Akito this upset since Shigure moved away from here.

Why do I always have to be the peacemaker?

It was a few weeks until the banquet and the workers around were super busy preparing all kinds of things. This was an important time for the Sohma's, after all.

Me and Akito were in my office. She's been doing terrible lately. Barely eating, sleeping. What ever happened the day of that fight must have been serious because neither of them has said a word to me about what happened in that room.

I was checking her vitals like normal when there was a knock on my door. Both me and Akito turned to it only to see Y/n entering with a small, yellow pouch.

"Hatori! You'll never believe what Momij—" She instantly stopped in her tracks once she realized Akito was present.

Akito, on the other hand, had shown an expression other than anger in the last few weeks. She looked so urgent, desperate, yet a hint of relief. "Sorry, I'll come back later." Y/n quickly excused herself. Akito said nothing.

She huffed, gripping to the sleeves of her robe with a small glare.

"What.. So Momiji has just replaced me or something?" Akito spoke, her tone irritated. Ah, she had returned back to her usual, grumpy state. Which wasn't all that surprising if I'm being honest.

Akito glanced up, her eyes darkening as they landed on me. "Hello?"

I sighed, looking over to her before back to my room equipment. "I think she just needs more time, Akito." I replied, crossing my arms.

She groaned, rolling her eyes in annoyance. "How much time does she need? It's been a month already! She's forgetting that she works for me!" Akito expressed. I could tell she was more than frustrated. It wasn't like I could reassure her. I've been trying to all month, but it's up to Y/n when she wants to talk to her.

"She hasn't forgotten. We both know she hasn't." I said firmly. "So then why won't she come see me anymore?!" Akito yelled, angrily bawling her fists. "I don't know why and it's not like you'll tell me why the both of you are even acting like this." I responded bluntly.

"I can't really help if I don't know what going on. Y/n won't talk to me either, so I'm stumped, Akito." I expressed as I exhaled deeply.

Akito shook her head, glaring away. "It doesn't matter, it was her fault anyways! She's the one who started it." She gritted her teeth. Based off her reactions alone, I could tell this wasn't something done for nothing. If Y/n really started it, I'm sure there was a viable reason as to why she did.

But it seemed like I was the only person realizing that.
