~Chapter 4~

I woke up the next morning in a mess, my hair was all tangled up and I was sticky with sweat.

I got up groggily and looked at the clock. it was 3am. I sighed and trudged to the bathroom. just then, I felt a rumbling in my stomach.

"I just have to drink water" I mumbled to myself before stripping and stepping into the freezing shower as I hoped the cold would clear my mind up.

it certainly did wake me up but my thought were still a bit foggy.

i sighed and went to the kitchen, pouring myself a glass of water. as drank it, i glanced at the clock, reading the flashing numbers. 4.20 am.

wow. i thought to myself. i certainly took a long shower.

i sat in the darkness of the kitchen as the crickets chirped outside. i was startled out of my skin when someone suddenly spoke up behind me.

"felix? why are you up so early?" i turned around and met eyes with hyunjin.

"i just had a nightmare and couldn't fall asleep again." i smiled, trying to reassure him.

"a nightmare? are you alright? you know you can talk to us if something is bothering you, right?"

"yeah. i know."

"good. do you want any breakfast?"

i gulped as i heard the words leave his mouth.

"no thank you. i already ate something earlier." i lied, trying to sound as sincere as possible.

i could tell he didn't fully believe my lie but he left it at that.

"alright, but tell me if you change your mind." he said as he left the kitchen.

i rubbed my eyes slightly and down the rest of my water before going to my room to scroll through my phone.

~timeskip~

"felix! are you ready? we're leaving in 10!" changbin hyung's voice called from his room.

"i'll be out in 5!" i shouted as i scrambled off the bed to get dressed before rushing to the front door, pulling my shoes on.

heavy footsteps sounded from the stairs before changbin hyung's face appeared.

"let's go. the others are already waiting in the car." he said before swinging the door open and pulling me to the van that awaited us.

"sorry, felix. there isn't any space left back here. you'll have to sit in the front with the manager, okay?" jisung said from the last row as i gulped from hearing that i had to sit with the manager.

"o-okay." i quietly mumbled, not trying to be a problem.

as soon as i opened the door to the passenger seat, i could feel the glare from the manager boring into the side of my face.

"hurry up, yongbok."

i froze at the name before quickly clamoring into the car.

as we sped towards the company, i could hear the excited chattering behind me.

"have you been a problem to them these days?" the manager's cold voice startled me slightly.

"n-no." i answered quietly, not wanting to alert my members.

"good."

i fidgeted with my fingers until we finally reached the company for dance practice.

finally. i thought, as i quickly slipped out of the car but immediately groaned when i realized that i forgot my waterbottle.

today's going to be hell, isn't it?
