"our manager gave us a day off." chan hyung told us after breakfast.

"sweet." minho hyung smiled tiredly as he shuffled out of his room, still in his pajamas.

"you okay, hyung? you look tired." jeongin asked minho hyung worriedly.

"yep. i just haven't had coffee yet." he answered, reaching for the coffee pot.

"can we go out for breakfast?" changbin hyung asked, also reaching for it.

"sure where do you guys want to go?" chan hyung looked around the living room and at the rest of the group.

"we could go to that pancake place near the company building? the one we went to as trainees?" hyunjin suggested.

"alright. we're going there for breakfast. we'll leave at ten. it's only eight so do whatever you want." chan hyung said, "minho, can i talk with you for a second?"

i watched as chan hyung pulled minho hyung into his room.

what are they talking about?

chan hyung probably thinks that you're weak and pathetic, so he wanted to talk about it with minho hyung.

they're probably making fun of you right now.

chan hyung wouldn't do that to me, would he?

no.

he always keeps his word.

keep telling yourself that, felix.

one day they'll all turn their back against you and you would still be clueless.

"lix! do you want to play games with me?" jisung tapped me on my shoulder excitedly, breaking me away from my thoughts.

"sure sungie. go set it up first. i just need the bathroom for awhile." i smiled at him before hurriedly making my way towards the bathroom.

i closed the door silently before locking it, sighing softly. my eyes swept across the plain white tiles, a wave of nausea washing over me.

take it out.

it's just a scale.

you need to keep track.

i sighed in defeat and pulled the scale out from under the cabinet. just then, i accidentally cut myself on the corner of the cupboard. i watched as brilliant red spilled, flowing down my palm.

the colour entranced me. the smell of copper filled the air, the white tiles were painted maroon.

but soon, the pain brought me back to reality. the stinging in my hand worsened and i winced slightly. i crawled back up and stood on the scale, trying to ignore the constant 'drip, drip, drip' of the blood.

101lbs.

at least you lost a pound since yesterday.

but that's not enough.

i sighed, disappointed, before reaching for the shelf above me and grabbing the first aid kit. i disinfected the wound, which was quite deep, and bandaged it.

i looked to the clock on my right, the flashing numbers reading '0815'.

pushing the scale back into its original place, i exited the bathroom and made my way to jisung's room.

"lix! come on!"

i drew in a deep breath before painting a fake smile back on my face.

"alright, alright!"
