Inkling and Octalings and the other former sea creatures have never seen human fire arms before nor heard what they sound like nor is it known if they can respawn again on account bullets and grenades don't work like ink, and the sound of guns is way louder then average weapons of the inklings and octalings maybe more then their ears can handle.
