Both of Ben O'Brien parents are deceased. Fiona was killed at the start of World War 3 by hostile federal agents on account Connor refused to share his knowledge and secrets to the corrupt politicians and agents.
When both Connor and Fiona were alive before World War 3 both were loving couple, and parents to Ben. Connor also known by many as the professor was a brilliant scientist a genius at a young age. He invented the cyro chamber pods, and other incredible inventions, one of which was a hover board. Conner even proved their was a massive underground ocean from the first great flood miles under the earth crust.
Connor O'Brien even created a fluid vaccine to give humans longer life spans and eternal youth so a human could remain looking young forever, without suffering aging & sickness ailments. He and the Alterna scientists however kept this a secret, on account of what the corrupt and greedy would do with it, and passed it on to his son, & his friends. It was Conner O'Brien who made sure his son Ben had a cyro pod to sleep in at the Alterna Armory, just as he put their cat Judd in one. Connor even managed to create a working teleportation gate connecting all of Alterna underground settlements before they were destroyed. He had also created and programmed the AI Commander Tartar, to teach the next generation of species, but when other Ai's like Commander Tartar went rogue. Connor suspected the risk of the same happening to Commander Tartar and left a command code with his son to shut him down and erase permanently in the event Tartar ever went rogue.
An important leader of the Alterna resistance Professor Connor sway millions to resist the tyrannical governments whom started world war 3 right to the bitter end despite the horrific loss of life, the corrupt tyrannical governments and agencies were defeated by the Alterna resistance, once and for all despite the nuclear bombing of the north and south poles. Sometime after the second Great Flood, Connor was at Alterna he had returned after he made sure Judd was safely away, he entered his own cyro pod so he could reunit with his son later, thus awakening from his cyro pod just when the so called accident happen that destroyed Alterna.
It was not an accident. At this time of the story it is unknown what happen at Alterna and to Connor O'Brien, but it is known by Ben that all Alterna settlements were compromised by unknown attacks done not by the Octalings or inklings. But as of now Connor O'Brien is dead having given his life to save and ensure his son Ben lives along with Judd, and that the next species have a chance to build a better world that the corrupt and greedy of the old earth governments destroyed out of spite.
Connor and Fiona had given Ben a happy childhood, and supported his decision to join Alterna security force. Which for Connor was for the better as it ensure Ben survived the war, and the great flood. Regardless Conner was effected by his wife death. But happy for his son.
