Moments later...

Satoshi and Suguru were calmly perched atop a sofa, a serene scene complemented by the gentle sipping of their tea. The atmosphere exuded tranquillity, with Riko Amanai and her caretaker, Misato Kuroi, peacefully dozing on the nearby sofa.

However, this idyllic calm was abruptly shattered by the distress of one of the Q Combatants, Kokun, trapped by a potent curse cast by Suguru. Despite the chaos, the Q Combatant implored Satoshi and Suguru for clemency, expressing remorse for his actions, vowing to abandon the use of curses, and pledging to depart from Q. "I'll pull out of this job! I'll quit being a curse user, too! Of course, I'll quit Q, too! Enough, please!" Kokun continues to beg Satoshi and Suguru.

Satoshi, who detested people with weak character, was not impressed by Kokun's behaviour and dismissed Kokun's apologies, accusing him, "Don't be absurd! You're only "Sorry" because you've lost; you came here to murder a child. And you expect either of us to give a shit about your problems? Ridiculous."

"Damn student, acting all condescending! But Bayer-san is here, too! He's Q's strongest combatant! He'll..." said Kokun before being cut off by Suguru.

"Hey, is this your Bayer?" Suguru asked as he showed Kokun a picture on his phone of Satoru posing next to Bayer's unconscious body, slumped next to a tree. Kokun's face dropped with dread.

Kokun responds timidly, "That's him."

Following his crushing defeat at the hands of Satoru, Bayer made the difficult decision to leave Curse User Group Q. This departure marked the beginning of the end for the organization, as it struggled to maintain its cohesion and effectiveness without Bayer's leadership and strategic guidance. Despite his best efforts, Bayer was unable to recover from the crushing blow dealt to him by Satoru, and ultimately, his departure proved to be the catalyst for the group's downfall.

(Meanwhile, Toji)

Toji lounged in the cushioned seats, his gaze captivated by the elegant boats gracefully skimming across the water's surface. As the intense boat race unfolded, a distinguished figure caught his attention as they made their way through the lively crowd. Toji turned around and instantly recognized his employer, Shiu Kong, weaving his way towards him with purpose.

Shiu asks with a hint of irritation, "And just what are you doing after suddenly disappearing on me?"

Toji waved his betting tickets in the air and told him, "Getting more money."

Shiu looked at Toji with a smirk and said, "I've never seen you win once. What about your job?"

Toji's face immediately contorted into a scowl as he responded, "Oh, give it a rest. You're talking like I'm unemployed." The tension between the two is palpable as the conversation comes to an abrupt end.

Shiu, with a playful smile on his face, reminded Toji, "Because you are. As a mediator, it's my duty to report how the job's going to the client."

Toji, with a hint of annoyance in his voice, speaks to Shiu. "I'm up against those Gojo clan brats. I wouldn't be able to do anything if I just popped in front of them. I'm just going to wear them down using some idiots first. You go do your own damn job." He dismissively waves his hand at Shiu, indicating their conversation is over.

"Already did, dumbass. What were you thinking, letting go of the entire deposit?" Shiu asked. He didn't want to risk their money.

"I told you, wearing them down. Don't you worry. All that money will come back to me. Just like with this race." Toji told Shiu right before a commentator announced the results of the race.
