Megumi, Todo and Noritoshi were retreating from the roots pursuing them, which were sent by Hanami himself. As the roots swallow up anything that's in its path. Megumi begins to speak to Toge. "Are you all right, Inumaki-Senpai?" Megumi asked

"Salmon." Toge responded, reassuring Megumi.

"Here it comes." Noritoshi announced, the trio was beginning to face Hanami, who was preparing to attack.

"Stop." Toge ordered. Holding Hanami and his attacks in place.

This allowed Noritoshi to use his blood manipulation technique to hit Hanami in the head. The attack managed to damage his slight head, causing a slight scratch to his head. "He wounded it? So he wasn't serious at all when he fought me, then?" Megumi thought to himself; he was in disbelief.

"Hurry! He's just going to heal right away!" Noritoshi ordered.

The three again began to run away; their plan was for consistent hits and runs to Hanami. Unfortunately, Toge started to cough. It was clear enough that he was straining himself too much that he began to sweat bullets. He tried to compensate by drinking cough medicine.

"Inumaki will stop it; we'll attack, and then we'll get away from it. Then we repeat that as we try to get outside this veil and rejoin Satoshi and the others." Noritoshi thought to himself.

Even more, roots emerged from the wall behind them, and Hanami was free again. "But there's no telling when the current balance will fall apart. His cursed speech isn't affecting it much anyway, and we're not getting a chance to contact the teachers. If it figures out how to deal with his cursed speech, we're finished." Noritoshi reveals this as he attempts to figure out the best course of action from there.

Noritoshi starts ordering Toge and Megumi. "Hurry! We don't know what the cursed spirit's after.

"There's a chance Satoshi has taken action; he might be able to sense the curses. There's also a chance the other sorcerers stationed at Jujutsu Tech haven't taken action. I'd like to quickly rejoin Todo, or at the very least, Miwa, but..." Noritoshi ponders to himself as the trio escapes out of the building and onto the roofs of the other buildings.

Hanami was still in pursuit of the trio, ruthlessly hunting them down. The trio stops to face him, and Megumi summons Nue, preparing to attack. "Inumaki-senpai will stop it. Don't worry! Just go!" Megumi shouts, and Nue charges for Hanami.

"St-" Toge tries to say before the blood from Nue comes gushing out. Hanami had stabbed Nue with his fist. Toge also collapses from overexertion as blood pours from his mouth.

"He's the one hitting his limit first?!" Noritoshi briefly faces Toge and observes, only for Hanami to take advantage by charging at him and landing a punch that sends the man flying. Three of Hanami's wooden balls nearly stabbed the man in the process, only for Noriotshi to be tackled by Megumi, saving his life.

"Are you alive, Kamo-san?" Megumi asks, noticing that Noritoshi didn't respond.

"He wasn't using powerful words, but it still destroyed his throat. It's just that much stronger!" Megumi thought to himself. Toge stood up from behind, holding onto Megumi's shoulder.

"Mustard leaf." Toge said.

"Inumaki-senapai...That's enough!" Megumi said, concerned.

Toge walked slowly to Hanami; his body didn't want to, but his soul was telling him otherwise. Hanami responded in kind, slowly approaching Toge.

"Blast away!" Toge shouted. Sending Hanami flying back into the building they had just left. Toge had given everything he had, slipping into unconsciousness.
