Weeks later, December 2017...
After Yuta and Toge's triumphant mission completion, several weeks passed, and the group of four first-year students showed remarkable growth under Satoshi's mentorship. As the sun set, Satoshi and the other first-year students departed from Jujutsu Tech, filled with a sense of fulfilment and determination to continue their rigorous training.
The sun was setting, casting a warm orange glow over the campus grounds, and a soft breeze carried the faint scent of blooming flowers. The group walked together, sharing stories and discussing their latest techniques, feeling camaraderie and mutual respect. As they walked, they could hear the distant sound of cicadas singing in the trees, adding to the peaceful atmosphere.
Yuta suddenly felt bad and stopped in the middle of his tracks. Panda, concerned for his friend, asked him, "What's the matter, Yuta?"
Yuta hesitated before responding, "Uh, well... I just had a bad premonition." While Maki, Panda, and Toge brushed off Yuta's words, Satoshi had a different reaction. He sensed the ominous presence of cursed energy swiftly approaching them. Acting on his instincts, he swiftly positioned himself before his students as a protective shield against the unseen danger.
The teacher's swift reaction took Yuta and his classmates aback, as Yuta had just sensed an unexplainable presence moments earlier. Satoshi thought, "He knew someone was coming just before the rest of them; he's starting to master his cursed energy. Good one, kid!"
Satoshi's command was clear and urgent, "Everyone, stay behind me!" The students, sensing the gravity of the situation, quickly complied. Satoshi's demeanour was serious, and it was clear that he was not joking around. He reassured the others with a thumbs-up, silently conveying that he had everything under control.
Standing tall, he gazed up at the sky where a cursed spirit, possessed with wings, was flying above the Jujutsu Tech. The creature was heading straight towards the five, and Satoshi knew that he had to act fast if he wanted to protect his fellow students from harm.
Suguru Geto suddenly appeared right next to the curse. His piercing gaze fixed on someone he knew very well. It was an old friend whom he hadn't seen in a long time, and the last time they met, Suguru had committed unspeakable atrocities. Despite the gravity of the situation, Suguru's expression was eerily calm and malevolent, almost as if he was relishing the moment. To make matters worse, he brought two teenage girls and a group of powerful sorcerers.
"It's been a while. Satoshi." Suguru calmly said.
Satoshi's eyes narrowed, boring into the man's soul with an intensity that could make anyone uncomfortable. His lips twitched as he uttered the man's name, "Suguru," as if the mere sound left a bitter taste in his mouth.
Yuta asked his teacher. "You know this man?"
Satoshi confirmed, "Yes, we were friends once." not even bothering to look at Yuta, refusing to break eye contact with Suguru.
"How's life been for you, my old friend?" Suguru asked. "I hear you're a father these days, though I'm surprised to see you teaching. You never wanted to be a teacher; fatherhood has changed you."
"Cut the bullshit, Suguru, what do you want?" Satoshi demands, still refusing to lose sight of him.
"I wanted to see the new special grade sorcerer for myself," Suguru informed him, looking towards Yuta before leaning his head and smiling at the boy.
Suguru tried to courteously approach Satoshi, looking to initiate a greeting with a warm handshake. To his surprise, Satoshi forcefully pushed him back with a sudden shove of his right hand. Suguru staggered backwards, struggling to maintain his balance, while the dark-haired man emitted an awkward, uncomfortable chuckle.
