Nanami is walking by himself up the stairs in the process of looking for Ijichi. He's been looking around the area only to find the corpses of multiple assistant supervisors, with multiple stab wounds all over their bodies. It's safe to say Nanami was furious to see this; they were people who couldn't defend themselves in this situation.
"Getting irritated at my own failings never has been and never will be a part of my life." The burly, blonde-haired man thought to himself. Walking up the stairs, he finds Ijichi passed out on the ground, bleeding.
"I will simply confront the evils that force this reality upon us, and I will simply..." Nanami thinks to himself as an image of Haibara's corpse flashes through his mind.
"Arrogant bastards." Nanami muttered to himself, livid at the curses and cursed users' actions.

Mei-Mei was slowly approaching the cursed user, who was crawling away with only one leg; it was evident Mei-Mei had sliced it off during their fight. UI-Ui was sitting on the corpse of the cursed dog; it was seemingly killed by Mei-Mei, too.
"Weak, right? That's why I trained myself so desperately when I was young. That way, I could fight without my technique. It wasn't a waste, either. Being able to overwhelm you like this proves that to me." Mei-Mei explained, swaying her hips as she walked towards the man.
"Stop! I'll pull out of this incident now! So please, spare me!" The cursed user begged.
"Quiet! Nee-sama is still in the middle of talking." Ui-Ui interjected, silencing the man who was begging for his life.
Mei-Mei swayed her hips even more, continuing to approach the frightened as he carried on with her speech. "So I used to convince myself that a sorcerer's true value wasn't their technique. But, you know, I hit my limit. I couldn't keep improving my physical abilities and the ability to enhance them with cursed energy forever. I was crushed. I had lost heart, so I decided to confront my own technique once more, and that's when I came into full bloom as a grade 1 sorcerer." Mei-Mei grinned, finishing her speech.
Ui-Ui applauds his older sister, his sister posing with her cursed axe. The kid stops applauding to face the curse user, only to be ordered to "applause."

The cursed user, in his shallow attempt to save his life, applauds slowly as well. Mei-Mei finally came to a decision herself. "Now I'll kill you." Mei-Mei revealed.
"Huh?" The cursed user blurted it out.
"I just wanted to kill time chatting, anyway." Mei-Mei stated casually.
