Moments later...

Yuji Itadori and Todo Aoi are still fighting against each other. Yuji throws a right jab, which the man blocks. He then attempts to elbow Yuji in the face, which the blondish boy manages to dodge in time. Todo immediately throws a left jab, which Yuji blocks yet again. The two fighters continue to trade blows with one another as they continue to dodge and counter each other.

Yuji sent a right kick, which was blocked yet again. Todo sends a right jab, which is avoided. Yuji manages to land a backhanded left jab on Todo. Yuji then goes to grab Todo's face right after.

"When I throw my right horizontal punch, he immediately sends a left vertical jab! Itadori wasn't moving like that before! He's improving... by devouring me!" Todo thinks to himself, smiling.

Just then, Yuji begins to grapple, toppling the behemoth of a man onto the group. "What a beautiful way to knock me down!" Todo thinks to himself yet again. He couldn't stop grinning over this.

"His face is wide open! I can hit it. Even with Divergent fist." Yuji thinks to himself. Yuji then attempts to use a divergent fist to land a punch on Todo once again. Todo was still grinning like a madman, but at the last possible moment, he picked himself up, taking the full force of the blow.

"However!" Todo exclaims in his mind.

This reaction from Todo catches Yuji completely by surprise. Todo begins picking himself up, while Yuji's fist is still on his forehead. He limited the speed and impact of the punch, slightly closing the distance between his head and Yuji's fist.

"He stopped my fist with his forehead before it could reach full speed?!" Yuji thinks to himself.

Todo grabs onto Yuji's left wrist, smiling at his "brother." He begins to lecture Yuji on cursed energy manipulation; this was less of a fight and more of a training session between the two sorcerers.

"That's not what I want you to devour right now. Your Divergent Fist is created by your cursed energy lagging behind your superhuman physical prowess, when normally it would never lag. It's a tricky move. Your average sorcerer wouldn't know what happened, and they'd be left disoriented. It carries plenty of force, too. For opponents on that level, at least!" Todo explains, leaving Yuji rather interested and surprised. He continues to finish off his statement.

"But it won't work against special grades. What will you do, best friend?" Todo asks.

"Imbue my full strength with cursed energy at the right moment." Yuji answers.

"Good! So then, why is your cursed energy lagging? It's because you're channeling it!" Todo reveals.

"Huh? Wait, I thought we were talking about channeling it faster."Yuji responds, misinterpreting the point made by Todo.

"We channel cursed energy. Many sorcerers do this consciously. "My stomach is full of rage." "The blood's boiling in my gut." The theory is that cursed energy is extracted from such negative emotions, starts in the navel, and is channeled throughout the body. They say it flows from the navel to the chest, then the shoulders, arms, and finally the fists, but this perception of the body as individual parts is what delays cursed energy." Todo explains, and Yuji nods his head in response to this information.

"The idea of channelling cursed energy isn't wrong in itself. But that's only the first step! You can't let yourself remain too trapped by that concept. The better the sorcerer, the harder it is to read the flow of their cursed energy. Take Satoshi-sensei for example, he's the master of letting his cursed energy flow by instinct alone rather than focusing on one area of his body; so much so he can raise and lower his cursed energy within a second easily masking his movement altogether.-"
