Imagination is a natural ability that the brain develops. It's common yet complex based on how far and how deep can your thoughts run. It's supported by visualization, the art of seeing things that aren't in your line of sight.

However, the true skill behind this is how detailed those visualizations are. Some may have an unclear vision of what they want to picture, and some have it so materialized behind their eyes that they can start living in it.

One thing Tetsuya learned about having an internal witchcraft is that he should have an imagination with a precise depiction. Which means you have to memorize every place, every item, and every scene quite literally.

Sweat prickles his skin as the cube on his hand moves to the top part of the tallest shelf in Akashi's sanctum. He takes a breath before the cube vanishes from sight, feeling the weight of it back on his hand.

Currently he's practicing the branches of teleportation. He knows how to teleport himself, now he's taking lessons on how to teleport objects.

Which should've been their first step, much to Akashi's miscalculation.

Today's practice is much easier than his first teleporting lesson.

But...

Why does he feel weary over an easy spell?

"Take a break." Akashi tells him, having the mana restoration potion ready by his desk.

Tetsuya barely hears him, his thoughts ringing louder than the omni.

He's doing something wrong and he doesn't know what it is.

Is he supposed to be exhausted this fast?

How is he gonna go back to the village if he's weak??

He walks past Akashi, posture noticeably poor.

And Akashi can feel his frustration as he drank the potion.

"Kuroko." He interrupts the silence, "Why are you so determined to learn spells?"

With that, Tetsuya purses his lips.

Obviously to go back to the village, to bury his grandmother properly, to get revenge against the hunters that killed–

Revenge?

He sags the moment that word came across his mind.

Does he want to take revenge?

Is that why he's fixated about this?

"You're uncertain yourself," He finds Akashi's eyes on him. Intense, as if he could see through him.

"Much so that you're hesitating to use the fullest of your strength."

As if you're scared of what'll happen.

Tetsuya clenches his fist. Of course he would be.

How can he not when he's a–

"Magic alone is complicated." The male stalks near him.

"Kuroko," Again. The omni's voice is as sharp as his gaze like an attempt to tear him open. "The most important thing is that you'll release your power."

He feels a light poke on his chest, precisely where his soulmark is. "You can't seek power if you're hiding the power yourself."
