Chel's POV
"This will is in effect only when the inheritant meets the requirements." pagbubukas ni Atty. Wise ng meeting namin. "It's as follows..."
"Huh? Are you kidding me? I thought I'll be able to inherit once I turn 26?" pagputol ko. Nakakastress na talaga to. Ang daming arte.
"The heir should stay at Ilo-ilo, where their house is located." pagpapatuloy nya.
"Wait, why do I need to go back there?" inis na tanong ko.
"She should be able to finish her studies, which you already did." pagtutuloy nya at ngumiti sa akin. At least, may natapos na pala akong isa. "And be an international model. She should also manage all their businesses and companies."
"Why do I need to be an international model? Why do I need to do all those?" pagalit na tanong ko, na wala na namang sagot.
"She should be able to do all these before she reach the age of thirty, and get half of all the inheritance. The other half will be deemed if the heir gets to build up her own family. She shall marry, and bear a child of her own, the family's successor. The estate will go to the charity if she cannot comply. If the heir wishes to withdraw her right, she'll be able to inherit only 0.01%." pag-isnab nya sa tanong ko. Badtrip tong lawyer na to, walang kwentang kausap!
"You see, Ms. Heukels, it was your grandfather's dream for your dad. But your dad chose to marry your mother instead. It took a long time before Mr. Heukels accepted his son's marriage to a common Filipino girl, who had nothing but herself" pagkukwento nya.
"And that time only came when you were born. He thought you looked good, and he saw a huge future ahead of you." kalmadong sabi nya at nagsmirk pa.
"Your father thought everything was okay. Until one day, he found himself following his dad's will. He became a model, a really good and well known model. And before he knew it, his dad was already controlling his life and decisions. But he suddenly woke up when his dad was already asking him to sign a divorce paper." pagkukwento nya at parang nalungkot pa sa huling nabanggit. "That was the time when your family ran away to the Philippines."
So totoo nga ito?
"But your grandpa was able to convince your father that he won't do the same mistake again, asking him to go back and stay with him. Unfortunately, you met an accident..." pagpapatuloy nya ng kwento, pero nagpanting na ang tenga ko sa huling salitang binitawan nya.
"Stop!" nakayukong sigaw ko.
"That was so unfortunate, so unexpected..." pagbaliwala nya sa akin.
"I said stop!" sigaw ko at tumayo na mula sa kinauupuan ko. Nanginginig na ako sa galit, pero nakuha ko pa ring makalapit sa kanya para sampalin sya.
*PAK!!!*
"I am not Ms. Heukels, Atty. I am Miss Rachel Anne Daquis. Keep that in mind. Now get your pension and move your ass out of here! You are fired! BWISIT KANG PANOT KA!" galit na utos ko sa kanya.
"You really are like your father. Haha. But I am sorry, Miss Heukels, only your grandpa can fire me, and unfortunately, he died. Well anyway, I've e-mailed you the address of your house in Ilo-ilo, incase it is one of those that you have forgotten" mapang-asar at sarkastiko nyang sabi. "I have to go."
