I do not own Harry Potter ... but I miss Cedric Diggory

__________<>__________

Dumbledore had led them both directly to his office.

The entire way, Bel walked in silence, trying to organise her mind as much as she could.

It broke her heart, but she had managed to put aside her grief for now.

It would return in the fullest of forces, but there were more important things for her to focus on.

The first of which had been to get to Harry.

To make sure he was safe.

Her fear for him had overruled her grief.

There was nothing she could do to reverse Cedric's fate, but Harry's was another story. His end not yet written.

But now Bel had seen to it that Harry hadn't met the same fate as Cedric, there was something else that took precedence.

Confusion.

Again.

Bel was so sick and tired of being confused. The feeling of being left in the dark. Having answers hidden from her. She hated it -- had always hated it.

After last year, she believed she knew everything she had to know.

About her father and her mother.

About her heritage.

About her wand.

About her role in this world.

She was satisfied.

But now, she was hungry again.

Barty Crouch Junior had made it so. He had created a new round of questions that needed answering.

Why did Crouch agree to torture her that year?

What lies had he told her, and what would the consequences be?

What was his 'job' with her?

What was the truth that Voldemort now knew?

What did he mean by 'same mistakes'?

Why did he say those words?

The time has come.

Her hunger for answers was different now.

Voldemort had returned.

The secrets that were kept from her had to be revealed now. There was too much at stake. Too much danger headed her way, and she didn't even know what that danger was.

Before she could even process anything, before she could allow her mind to return back to the grief currently held at bay by a thin thread of sanity, she needed to know the truth.

Voldemort did.

So why can't she?

"Talk, old man."

Those were the first words Bel said as the three entered the headmaster's office.

"There will be time for answers later, little one", Dumbledore gave her the predictable, yet infuriating answer as he walked to his desk.

Bel followed after him. "No. No more waiting. No more secrecy."

"There are things that need to be dealt with first."
