With the Icon of Sin defeated, the demons had lost all hope and retreated back to hell. Despite this, the maykrs are what's left of the invasion. Shortly after the Icon's defeat, the Khan Maykr dispatched her very own mech to kidnap the slayer's team including Velvet. This was the final straw for him. He is all that's left to stand in the way of the Khan Maykr. With no one to keep the slayer company, he takes upon his own hands to destroy Urdak and kill the Khan Maykr for orchestrating the kidnapping and invasion of earth. There was no turning back. They took his bunny, his sentinel comrades and his dysfunctional but capable teammates. Hell had been tormented long enough, now its heaven's turn to suffer the wrath of the Doom Slayer. Only this time, no amount of praying will bring them salvation.
