"G'way," you grumbled, turning on your side. "I don't give a flying fook."

"Y/N," Alexia groaned, pushing you off the bed. "You cannot keep wallowing in self-pity for the rest of your life."

"Whatever," you yawned, making no attempt to get up. "Don't give a shit."

She sighed, grabbing your phone and pressing your finger to the fingerprint sensor. La Reina scrolled through some things momentarily before the phone began to ring.

"If I can't knock any sense into that thick stubborn skull of yours, then she will." Alexia glared.

"Mini-Me," Katie greeted with a smile as you craned your neck upwards. "Not feeling to hot right now, 'eh?"

You merely shook your head, refusing to admit how much you were missing your friends and your home.

"Y/N, I know you're upset right now, but could you take a shower for me? I've heard you haven't been taking care of yourself all that well recently."

You groaned, rolling over onto your stomach to begin crawling to the bathroom.

Alexia sighed in relief. "Thank you, Katie. Little Mewis is more stubborn than a burro." (Donkey)

The said Irish woman laughed. "Of course. Speakin' of Mewis..."

"Y/N?" Mapi knocked as you scrolled through TikTok. "Can you come outside for a minute?"

You huffed, placing your phone down next to you. "Outside outside or living room outside?"

"Does it matter?" She asked playfully. "You're going to dislike leaving your room no matter what."

"I guess not," you responded tersley. "Fine."

You stopped midstride as Sam rushed up to you and wrapped you in a hug. "I missed you sooo much! How are you?"

You awkwardly patted her on the back. "Fine."

She pulled away, her and Kristie sharing a look before the oldest of the Mewies wrapped you in a hug of her own. "We missed you! I hope you're not being to hard on yourself?"

"No, of course not," you shook your head, sending a warning glare to Alexia and Mapi. "I'm just a little disappointed."

Kristie sighed. "Y/N, you don't have to pretend to be fine. We're here for you."

You shook your head. "I'm not weak. I'm fine."

Kristie groaned. "I thought Arsenal and Barca would have thawed you out at least a little."

Your Barca teammates raised their eyebrows questioningly.

"This little Sparkplug likes to bottle up her feelings," Kristie elaborated, shaking her head with disapproval. "I just thought that good friends and teammates would help her realize that she shouldn't."

Just then, your phone rang. The caller ID flashed across your screen as you looked at your sisters apologetically.

You cleared your throat. "I need to take this, sorry."

You closed the door to your room. "What's up, Jonas?"

"Hi, Y/N," he greeted tentatively. "Listen..."

"I'm very sorry of the way I handled your club situation. I don't think letting you go on loan to Barcelona was the best decision for you as a person, and as much as I wanted to give some of the other Gunners a chance, you're not an easy replacement. You're a one-in-a-million Striker. It's just not the same without you. The girls are much quieter than usual. Your absence affects me, too. Every time we're in a tough situation, I look to the bench, and you're not there. I understand if you'd like to terminate your contract and sign for another club, but you'll always have a place here at Arsenal if-"

"I'd love to," you cut him off, a genuine smile appearing on your face for the first for the first time in a month. "Thank ya', Jonas. For apologizing. I know a shit-ton of Managers who wouldn't give a flyin' fook' about the way they treat their players."

"Of course," he stated, and you swore you could hear him smile. "It's the least I could do."

You said goodbye to your Manager, hanging up the phone before rejoining your Alexia, Mapi, and your sisters in the living room.

"Y/N, you okay?" Sam asked worriedly at the unreadable expression draped across your face. "Did something happen?"

"Yeah," you smiled lightly, sitting down next to her. "Somethin' 'appened."

"Care to elaborate?"

You shrugged. "Nah."

The group around you was unable to stop themselves from chuckling.

"I kind of missed that sarcasm," Mapi sighed contentedly. "Even if it was awful at times."

"Sorry, you'll be missin' it a lot more," You apologized, a grin fighting its way across your hawkish features. "I'm finally goin' home."

--------------

"Come on, Y/N, that's you," Sam prompted, grabbing you by the arm and hauling your tired ass towards the terminal. "Let's go."

"D'you think they'll miss me?" You asked, half-asleep.

Sam smiled. "Of course they will. You're a fun person to hangout with."

A big yawn cut off your reply as you paused. "What time 'm I s'posed to get there?"

"7 P.M."

You hummed softly. The Gunners bad been talking about team bonding around 6, so you'd most likely be able to surprise them all.

"Okay Sammy," you mumbled, squeezing her tightly. "Love ya'."

"Love you too."

----------------

Fumbling for your key, you stood awkwardly in front of Leah, Jordan, Katie's, and technically your shared flat.

You took a deep breath as you pushed the door open, grinning cheekily at the shocked looks on your teammates' faces.

Katie was the first to react, your mentor tackling you in a bone crushing hug. "Y/N! Ya' cheeky fook'! Why didn't ya' tell me you were comin' home?"

Before you could muster up a response, the rest of the team jumped onto the both of you, creating a large pileup in the doorway.

"Our little Firestarter's 'ere!" Kim exclaimed, giving you a tight squeeze. "I'm so glad you're back!"

"I missed you guys too," you said softly before your expression turned malicious. "I missed kickin' your asses durin' trainin'."

You curled into the fetal position as multiple pairs of hands slapped you on the side of the head.

"Why you always gotta ruin it?" Leah asked, a grin still plastered on her face. "You haven't changed one bit."

"Not that I'm complaining, but why'd you come back?" Kyra interjected.

You smiled. "I missed home. I missed my family."
