Naeun's POV,

Namjoo had dropped me off at my house last night after the event. Since the chaos that had erupted on the red carpet, I'd done my best to avoid the news and the flood of notifications on my phone. It felt like the only way to shield myself from the overwhelming mess that had become my life.

But being alone at home only magnified the weight of everything. I sighed, the silence pressing down on me. As if on cue, my phone lit up with a notification. I glanced over, half-expecting another headline, but it was a message from Taemin.

'Good morning. Have you woken up?'

I stared at the screen for a moment before replying, 'Just woke up.' My fingers moved slowly over the keys, every word weighed down by the emotional exhaustion I felt. There was so much we needed to talk about, so much I didn't know how to address yet.

The urge to scroll through the news was tempting, but I resisted. Instead, I pulled myself out of bed and headed to the bathroom, wiping away last night's makeup and stepping into the shower. The warm water was a welcome relief, a brief escape from the storm outside.

Once I finished, I wrapped my hair in a towel and began drying it, trying to push the inevitable confrontation with reality a little further away. But halfway through, the doorbell rang.

Startled, I paused and quickly set the towel aside, heading for the door. I wasn't expecting anyone, especially not this early.

When I opened it, I found Bomi standing there, her face serious, eyes filled with concern. Without a word, she breezed past me and made a beeline for the bathroom.

"Morning?" I greeted her with a bemused smile, trying to shake off the lingering heaviness.

"Let me use the toilet first," Bomi called over her shoulder, already halfway down the hall.

I couldn't help but chuckle at her briskness. "Sure, go ahead."

As she disappeared into the bathroom, I moved to the kitchen and grabbed a pudding from the fridge, sitting at the dining table while I waited for her. When she finally emerged, her expression had softened, but the concern in her eyes was clear.

"Are you okay?" Bomi asked, her voice gentle, full of empathy.

I shrugged, unsure how to answer. "I think so. Just... trying to avoid the chaos for a bit."

Bomi sat across from me, her fingers tapping absentmindedly on the table. She hesitated for a moment, clearly wrestling with whether to bring up something heavier. Her expression was a mix of concern and unease. "Have you seen the news?"

I shook my head, a knot of tension tightening in my chest. "Not yet. I don't know if I'm ready to face it."

Bomi sighed, the weight of her concern evident. "Taemin told me that you don't have to look if you're not ready."
