Naeun's POV,
Naeun stretched her arms with a soft yawn, the weight of sleep still clinging to her limbs. But the moment she blinked at the morning light, a smile tugged at her lips. Today wasn't just any day—it was Taemin's debut.
She moved through her morning routine with a quiet sense of purpose. After dressing, she double-checked the neatly packed lunch boxes on the counter—each one filled with care for Taemin and the rest of SHINee. Her plan was simple: drop them off at Music Bankbefore heading to her own photoshoot.
Just as she was reaching for her phone to book a cab, a knock on the door startled her.
"Naeun, are you ready to drop off the lunch boxes?" Bomi's voice rang cheerfully from the hallway.
Naeun opened the door, surprised to see her already there. "I was just about to call a cab."
Bomi gave a mock scoff, her eyes glinting with playful determination. "Forget the cab. I'm driving. We're headed the same way anyway."
Before Naeun could protest, Bomi grabbed her hand and tugged her forward with that usual burst of energy that was impossible to resist.
Together, they loaded the paper bags filled with lunch boxes into the back of Bomi's car. As Bomi settled behind the wheel, Naeun gazed out the window, her thoughts swirling in a quiet storm of emotions. Excitement. Nervousness. Pride. Taemin's dream—years in the making—was finally becoming real. Just thinking about it made her chest feel tight in the best way.
The city blurred past them until they neared the Music Bank venue. A crowd had already begun to form, gathering around the SHINee food truck parked nearby. Its pastel banner fluttered gently in the breeze, and the scent of brewed coffee and fried snacks drifted through the air.
Bomi found a spot behind the truck and parked. As Naeun unbuckled her seatbelt, Bomi held out a black mask.
"You can skip it if you wantto get recognized," she teased, her smile knowing.
Naeun hesitated. A part of her wanted to see the fans' reactions firsthand, to share in their joy. But another part of her knew the risk. Today wasn't about her—it was about Taemin. Quietly, she took the mask and slipped it on.
They approached the truck together, hands wrapped around the paper bags. The staff, already briefed, welcomed them with warm smiles and grateful bows as they took the lunch boxes and began arranging them at the side of the truck.
Naeun watched quietly, her heart lifting at the sight of fans chatting and laughing nearby, some already lining up to collect food and drinks. Their joy was palpable. Every face here represented someone who believed in Taemin and his group, someone who had waited just like she had.
