Naeun's POV,

He pushed me away, his actions cutting deeper than any words could. Taemin remained steadfast in his refusal to listen, to understand, to give me a chance to explain my truth. The pain of being shut out when I needed him most weighed heavily on my heart.

Days passed in silence. Days since Taemin had learned about the innocent life growing inside me. I had retreated into the solitude of my room, the place that once felt like a sanctuary now suffocating me, trapping me within the walls of my own thoughts. The weight of everything pressed down on me, the decision looming over my head.

Bomi, always understanding, respected my need for space and time. She knew I had to process this on my own, though I could feel her quiet worry whenever she checked in. Despite Taemin's hurtful actions, a part of me longed for him to reach out, to send a message, a call—anything that showed he was thinking about me, about us, about the little life we had created together.

I placed a hand gently on my stomach, a fragile sense of comfort settling over me. "What's going to happen to us, little one?" I whispered softly, the quiet words filling the room. Even in the depths of my uncertainty, this tiny being gave me some sense of hope. I wasn't entirely alone. Someone was depending on me now, and I had to find a way forward—for both of us.

The sudden ringing of my phone broke the stillness, pulling me out of my thoughts. Chorong's name flashed across the screen, her call unexpected.

"Hello, Chorong," I answered, my voice carrying the exhaustion of the past few days.

"Where are you right now?" Her voice was bright and cheerful, like a lifeline cutting through the darkness.

"I'm at home... why?" I asked, curiosity flickering through me.

"You sound so drained," she replied, her lighthearted laugh coming through. "But I have some exciting news to share, and it's better if we talk in person."

I sighed, trying to think of excuses to avoid leaving the house, but Chorong's persistence was impossible to resist. She knew me too well, her enthusiasm gradually wearing down my reluctance.

"Fine," I relented, finally giving in. "I'll be there with Bomi."

After ending the call, I found Bomi in her room. She looked up when I explained Chorong's invitation, and immediately her protective instincts kicked in. I could see the concern in her eyes, but she didn't hesitate to agree to accompany me.

Later, we arrived at the coffee shop, the familiar chime of the bell above the door signaling our entrance. Scanning the room, I spotted Chorong waving from a corner table, her smile infectious despite the storm of emotions swirling inside me. Bomi and I exchanged a glance before making our way toward her, curiosity tugging at the edges of my exhaustion.
