Taemin's POV,

Arriving at the agency with Joonwoon, the weight of the situation pressed heavily on me. We were here to meet with Lee Eun, my manager, and the rest of the management team to address the revelations about Naeun and me. The sleek, modern hallways felt colder today, and the whispers of the staff as we passed by only heightened my anxiety.

When we reached the conference room, Lee Eun and the team were already seated. Her usual warmth had been replaced by a stern, serious expression. This was business, and we both knew it.

"Taemin, Joonwoon, please sit," she said, motioning to the chairs across from her. I swallowed hard, trying to calm the storm brewing inside as I sat down. The tension in the room was suffocating. I could feel every glance, every unsaid word.

Lee Eun spoke first, her tone steady. "I'm sure you're aware of the rumors and the reports involving you and Naeun."

I nodded. "Yes, we've seen them."

She leaned forward slightly, her eyes scanning the room. "We need to be strategic. The PR team is drafting a statement, but we need to hear your perspective before moving forward."

Joonwoon and I exchanged a brief look—one that conveyed the gravity of the moment. I knew I had to be honest, even if it complicated things. Gathering my thoughts, I exhaled slowly.

"Naeun and I have a history," I began carefully. "But the rumors don't reflect the truth of our relationship today. There's something deeper—something that hasn't been made public yet." My voice wavered slightly before I steadied it. "I have a son, and Naeun is his mother. We're both his parents."

The room fell into a stunned silence. I could feel the weight of my words hanging in the air, impossible to take back. Faces around the table shifted—from shock to disbelief. Only Lee Eun remained calm, her face unreadable. I had a feeling she knew, or at least suspected, this revelation long before today.

I continued, my voice firm this time. "I know there are some who might think it's easier for me to cut ties—with Naeun, with my son. But let me make this perfectly clear: I will not. Whatever happens, my personal life is my own, and I won't abandon them."

The silence grew even heavier, thick with the gravity of my declaration. For a moment, no one spoke.

Mr. Kim, who formally introduced himself as Songjae, finally broke the silence, his tone cautious but firm. "This... could potentially violate parts of your contract, even if indirectly. And the fans—Taemin, they won't take this well. The backlash could be immense."

I expected this, but hearing it still stung. "I understand the risks," I said, my voice steady. "But I can't keep living in the shadows, hiding who I am or the people I love."
