"Ah! Here she is! I thought you're gonna ditch your first day!" The librarian suddenly exclaimed after seeing Shadow arriving at the library.

Bright, who had heard her, immediately turned and spotted Shadow being scolded for being late. He had arrived there first and started on putting the books back accordingly. Which will be their main task during their detention.

Bright decided to look away. He'd rather not involve himself with the alpha again. She is obviously mad at him and it's not like he can blame her either. He feels responsible too.

Shadow knows Bright is around. She could feel him. Either way. The alpha eventually started working. Killing the time and also trying to shut her mind that has been rained with questions since earlier. She eventually forgot briefly of her brain wrecking questions. Not even noticing the time.

"Here."

Shadow turned around after hearing Bright's voice. He was handing a bottle of orange juice to her. He looks a bit intimidated too.

"A-a student gave it to me while I was working. A-and I don't really drink so..." He tried to say it while looking at her but he couldn't seem to keep an eye contact.

A female student gave the drink to him earlier because she thinks he's handsome.

"Y-you've been working for a while without a break too." He added and handed the bottle closer.

Shadow furrowed her brows and looked at the bottle before looking back at him.

I won't find anything if I keep scaring him away.

She thought as she eyed Bright like the apple of her eye.

It oddly felt weird.
The way she's standing in front of him exuding a top alpha vibe. Across a vampire who looked intimidated just by standing face to face with her.
It looks like a scene out of a typical high school story.

The girl lets out a huff and harshly grabs the bottle from Bright making him flinch a bit.

"Just so you know. This doesn't change how I'm still mad at you." She warned while pointing the bottle at him before she opened it to have a drink.

"I-I know. But... what's done is done. And I'm really sorry if I got you in trouble too... But it's not like I'm not punished either." Bright tried to reason.

"Tch! Did you lose something?" She asked and Bright looked up at her with a confused expression before shaking his head cluelessly.

"Exactly! Because I did!" She scoffed and took another drink.

"Still. I'm sorry..." Bright said before he decided to finally walk away and go back to work.

"As if sorry can help me join the hunt again." Shadow scoffed as a frown quickly decorated her face.

Everytime she thinks of not being able to join the hunt nor the campfire. It's like a nightmare morphed into a reality. She could only imagine Raze talking behind her back now. He's always been her number one enemy especially when it comes to leading the pack.

"Unless..." Shadow suddenly said which made Bright halt his step and turn to her.

"Unless what?"

Shadow turned to his direction and started walking towards the vampire. An excited smirk slowly exchanging her pissed expression.

"Unless you make it up to me." She said with a confident smirk.

Maybe some other situation...

If Bright had no intention of making new friends...
