The party is almost over but everyone still seems to have no plans of going. Maybe because a lot actually made new friends which is the main goal of the party.

Bright watched from the backstage as everyone speaks with full smile on their faces. All dressed in modern gowns and dolled up to make themselves pretty. It almost felt familiar.

When he was young, their family always host a ball every evening for their visitors. It's always festive and everyone is friendly to each other.

"I guess this is where it all ends." Bright whispered to himself before he decided to leave the venue.

He didn't care anymore if he gets lost again. He doesn't plan to go back anyway.

Shadow cutting off ties with him made everything clear. And he didn't have to think twice of how he feels when those words left her mouth.

Maybe he does like her. Shadow is different from other wolves. She is very open and she acknowledged Bright as a friend because she saw who he is.

Bright had never had that kind of treatment for what feels like forever.

He had gained friends in just a month of overstaying. And now that he found what he's longing for. He doesn't want to see it break because of him.

So maybe if he decides to leave which has been his original plan since the first day of the school year. Then things will never have to go wrong because of him. He can never hurt anyone ever again.

The vampire eventually left the school premises unscathed. He went to the forest where Shadow had taken him once. There won't be any wolves there because of the party so he will have enough time to disappear without anyone noticing.

Bright reached the spot where he had last fed. It never crossed his mind that it was going to be the last time he would taste blood.

"Father... Please do not resent me for what I am about to do..." He whispered to the air whilst his eyes remained close.

He lifted both his hands to his chest. And slowly, he crouched to the ground as the darkness continued to comfort him.

Bright's power to grant wishes are known to many. He had granted favors countless times but never once for himself.

"I wish..." The vampire whispered before opening his eyes and staring ahead at whatever his eyes could reach. Listening to the last sounds he will hear.

"I wish that I'd d--"

"Bright..."

The vampire immediately stood up with a completely shocked face. His skin suddenly felt goosebumps as he moved away from where the voice came from.

It was the dean. Or more likely, his mother. Olivia.

She stood not far from Bright. Wearing a very familiar red hood. One that she had worn before when she attacked a wolf and a human not too long ago.

"My child..." Olivia said with a cold voice as she gave her son the most sinister smile.

Her eyes were dark red and anyone who sees her will definitely freak out.

"You've grown a lot... You couldn't possibly think I wouldn't recognize you now that you look so much like your father!" Olivia stated as she made one step closer. But this also made Bright step back warily.

He became suddenly alert. Praying that Shadow or any of the wolves would not think of going to that part of the woods.

"What do you want from me?" Bright questioned despite already knowing the answer.
