"I'm glad that assh*le is gone! Emily is so sick of him getting protective in school and all that. He makes his own sister really uncomfortable." Shadow suddenly complained. Hearing it even made Elijah and Nicholas to look at her with surprise.

"You're not angry? That was the committee's decision not us." Elijah said to her.

"Why would be I be angry?" Shadow chuckled. "It would've been better if he got expelled. I'd have the time of my life mocking him to his deathbed!" She added and even caused murmurrings to their classmate since they can hear their conversation.

"But isn't he your fiancee? Why would you be happy?" Bright asked with a clueless expression.

Shadow stares at him for a few seconds. Observing his face as if she is painting it in her mind to remember.

There's always something in Bright's expression that makes her feel butterflies. He rarely shows expression so she always finds it amusing. His face looks really cold but when he's reacting, he looks so adorable. Just like now.

Shadow was not able to answer quite immediately. And for someone who dated her before, Elijah could easily tell why. Shadow is definitely interested in Bright.

"I-I am. Raze is such a di*k. Even Emily agrees." Shadow finally replies as she cleared her throat and looked away.

"You seem to hate him." Bright mumbled.

"I do hate him. Who wouldn't I?! He thinks he's proud and mighty!" Shadows scowled and threw a glare at their classmates after realizing that they're still eavesdropping on their conversation.

"That, I definitely agree." Nicholas chuckled before he and Elijah turned back to the front.

The class eventually began. Of course the professor complimented how Shadow isn't late this time.

After class. Shadow and Bright went to the library together after meeting in the hallway. Shadow was just coming back from wal1king Emily to her dorm. While Bright just fortunately got there after getting lost. Again.
Elijah would've walked with him but his detention is somewhere else and he needed to be there early.

"I guess I'm gonna have to see your face every after class." Shadow chuckled as she entered the library with the vampire.

Some of the staffs greeted them as they made their way to log in on the desk. Making sure to have proof of their presence there so the librarian won't accuse them of ditching.

"You see my face in class too." Bright said bluntly while waiting for the girl to finish writing her name.

"Exactly. Do I have to see your face after class too?" She teased.

"Do you hate seeing me? Maybe I look bad."

"Pfft. Who said that? You're very handsome!" Shadow unconsciously blurted it out. But after she realized what she had said, she looked at Bright to see his reaction.

His face remained expressionless. Which is either a good or a bad thing.

"I uh..."

"I don't think I'm that handsome..." Bright mumbled and also started writing his name on the log book when he noticed she was done.

"Come on. We still have lots of work to do." He said right after he finished and beckoned the girl to follow.

Shadow tried to ignore the awkwardness she's experiencing alone. Focusing with their task which is still returning the books to its rightful shelf.
