Worlds Away

Ａｃｑｕａｉｎｔａｎｃｅ Ｐａｒｔｙ

"Are you nervous?" Gabriel asked as he stood beside Bright.

The party will begin in just a few moments and the members of the music department are all gathered in the backstage. Getting ready and checking their instruments.

"A little." Bright replied a bit timidly.

"That's normal." Lilac chuckled as she looked at the two vampires. "At least you're not as nervous as Jiro was on his first performance." She added before looking playfully at the mentioned half blood.

"Don't worry. Being on stage will take away the nervousness. You'll feel a lot calmer and feel home over there." Jiro said to him and pats his back as an assurance.

A few minutes later and their band is finally introduced by the mc. Giving the stage to them as they began the opening of their performance.

They performed many sets all throughout the opening and once everyone's entered the venue, they performed a new song where Lilac is the vocalist.

It was a short song that is enjoyed by everyone. And after it, their band were given a break until the waltz.

"You guys did great!" Nicholas complimented as he and Elijah approached their two nomad friends.

"Yes, they did." It was Shadow who walks in on them. Along with Emily.

Both dressed in a navy blue gown like twins. Giving them an image of elegance.

"You're a lot better than their old pianist!" Emily complimented Bright.

"He is..." Gabriel unconsciously muttered while staring at the omega.

He heard about Emily before as Raze's little sister. He had seen her once or twice with Shadow. But he never really paid much attention, he isn't interested anyway. But getting a closer look at the omega finally gave justice to the rumors that she is truly a young beauty.

"The waltz will not be until for a couple while. It'll be best if you guys spread around and meet new people." Shadow said to them and placed an arm around Emily's shoulders. Her other hand carrying a glass of cocktail which has been her third glass already.

"I don't want to meet more people." Gabriel mumbled and crossed his arms.

"You should try. A lot of girls are dying to be your friend." Emily chuckled before she beckoned Shadow to go and find their pack.

After the two left, Nicholas didn't fail to grab the chance of teasing Gabriel. Even Elijah and Bright noticed his change of demeanor when Emily was around.
He's usually cold and pay no attention to any wolf. But his reaction to Emily was more than new.

"Shut up or I'm gonna shove that da*n glass on your throat!" The vampire threatened and eyed the glass of cocktail that Nicholas was drinking.

"Come on. The art club opened an exhibition for everyone. We should check." Elijah invited them before beckoning the three to follow him.

The three followed Elijah to another hall where dozens of paintings and art pieces are displayed. Arts that were created during the previous year and presented today to show what the school can offer.

Before the four realized it, they've already gone to different directions and checking every art in the hall. There were also other students in there admiring the arts.
