The next day.
The three went out to their first class together. It was pretty awkward between Elijah and Nicholas but the human seems to be trying to make an effort to lessen that. He talks a lot as usual but is still unable to make eye contact with the alpha.
By the time they got to their classroom, Nicholas finally thought he had enough. And decided to confront his seatmate. He's not the type to prolong issues or pretend that everything's okay. So he always makes sure to fix the problem while he still can.
"Alright! Let's talk!" He said with a serious tone and looked at the taller who looked at him a bit baffled.
The three arrived at the classroom early so it's only just them at that moment.
"Are you sure?" Elijah whispered and side eyed the vampire behind them who obviously looked clueless of what's going on.
Nicholas turned to Bright and smiled at him. "Bright, is it alright if you leave us for a bit?" He asked. "Just wait outside. Don't go anywhere so you won't get lost. I promise it won't be long." He said to him.
Bright only nodded before he stood up and walked out of the room, leaving the two to talk about last night. As soon as Bright's gone...
"Now. You can explain. And I will listen." Nicholas said and properly looked at Elijah this time.
Elijah turned to look at him as well. Last night's events wouldn't stop bothering him and even dreamed of the human. It doesn't usually happen to him and he's not at all attracted to omegas anymore. But Nicholas seemed to trigger something in him so easily thanks to the vampires' playful antics.
He let out a deep sigh as he lowered his gaze. Thinking of a better excuse he can say to explain himself.
"Sorry. I don't mean to make things awkward. It's just... you were too close to me last night... A-and it's been a while since I had someone so close like that."
"So do you want me to keep a distance?" Elijah immediately looked at him after Nicholas asked that. He seemed anxious too.
"No!" He said almost right away. "W-what I mean is... I-it's gonna be okay. I promise it won't happen again and I'm really sorry."
"Okay."
"Okay?" Elijah blinks his eyes confused.
"Yeah. Okay. I mean. I'm aware that alphas have instances of being unable to control their sexual drive sometimes when they're too close to someone else." Nicholas tried to reason and Elijah's face quickly morphed into a cute and embarrassed frown.
"I-it's not like that! I-" Elijah didn't bother to finish because Nicholas started laughing at his funny reaction.
"We're good Elijah! I just don't wanna make things awkward between us. You're my first friend here and I don't want that to change." Nicholas said to him with a soft voice, and for some reason. Elijah could feel something sharp poke his heart at that statement.
He decided to just shrug it off while Nicholas called Bright back. The vampire as usual, sat back on his seat with his clueless face and looking at the two confusedly.
He heard what they were talking about from outside the room but he didn't totally understand what it meant.
Soon, the classroom began to be filled with students and both Emily and Shadow were late again and got themselves punished by standing at the back of the room with their arms up for the entire class.
About half way to their lesson when a senior student came into their room and interrupted the class. Calling Shadow and Bright to the Admin Office.
Everyone started murmuring sheepishly after their names were called. Obviously, they are being summoned because of yesterday's mess that they made.
