I Love You by Kris Bowers on SpotifyYvaine POV
Vials and potion bottles clanked together as I searched the shelves of the Room of Requirement (ROR), with Ominis sitting on a bench nearby.
"When were you going to tell me about this place, young lady?" he said with a grin.
"Sorry, Sir, but it had to remain a secret," I teased in response.
"What are we doing here anyway?" he asked.
I continued searching the shelves, now looking for certain textbooks as I climbed a ladder.
"I have an idea that I wanted to try with you," I said, lost in thought. Finally, I found the books I had brought with me from the Realm, one of which focused on the Sacred Task of Regeneration. I read it as I walked toward Ominis.
I whispered the writings to myself, lost in thought.
"Care to let me in on the matter?" Ominis asked.
"You just sit there looking pretty," I teased. "If I'm right... well, let's not get ahead of ourselves."
"You're not going to turn me into a toad, are you?" Ominis joked. "There was also a time Sebastian had wanted to try a spell on me that led me to coughing up slugs for an hour."
"Oh, quit your worrying," I said as I placed my hands over him, my magic slowly surfacing on my palms. "Just remain calm and trust me."
Ominis gave in with a sigh and closed his eyes. I motioned my hands, hovering them in front of him. With matching movements on either side, I created a circular shape, bringing my hands together with one over the other. My magic slowly encircled him, forming a protective aura. Then, I placed my palms on either side of his face.
My magic gently trickled down his face, giving him an ethereal glow. With his face cradled in my hands, my thumbs glided over his cheeks as I focused intently on the spell. Slowly, my fingertips traced over his closed eyes, and my magic followed the path they traced.
He appeared angelic, bathed in the soft, radiant light.
For the final step, I kissed his third eye placement gently, and my magic flowed down his body, spreading a sense of luminous energy throughout the room.
I stepped over to sit beside him, gripping his hands tightly, my heart pounding with anticipation. I was unsure of what would happen next but prayed to Merlin that this would work.
"Ominis?" I said, my voice trembling.
"Are you finished now, love? Am I a prince now that you've kissed the toad?" he teased, a playful chuckle escaping his lips.
"You've always been a prince to me," I admitted, my cheeks turning a faint shade of pink.
Ominis stirred, his eyelids parting slowly, and uncertainty clouded his expression. His face tensed as seconds slipped by like grains of sand.
"Are you alright?" I inquired, concern lacing my words.
"I believe so... it's just..." Ominis furrowed his brow as he grappled for the right words.
I gently squeezed his hands, prompting him to shift his gaze downward. Gradually, he looked toward me.
Then, I noticed something astonishing: he was genuinely looking at me.
His once-cloudy crystal eyes gradually cleared, revealing a mesmerizing sea-blue-green hue.
"Ominis?" I whispered in disbelief.
