Yvaine POVHow could I possibly refuse him when I had been trying desperately to bury these emotions for years? The man before me knew me better than anyone else, especially now that we had connected on a deeper mental level.
Sebastian had been there, protecting me even when he didn't really know me during my fifth year, and through all the trials and tribulations we had faced together. I didn't want to give in, but I was finding it increasingly difficult to find reasons to resist.
"Just let us love you, Yvaine," he said tenderly as I helped him remove his shirt. I found myself getting lost in his embrace, his kisses tracing every inch of my skin, sending shivers down my spine.
I still straddled him as he sat up on the bed, eagerly savoring the moment. His hands trailed along my back, leaving a trail of goosebumps in their wake.
"I love you, Sebastian Sallow," I confessed, my purple eyes radiating with emotion.
But before our passion could escalate further, we heard approaching footsteps, accompanied by the voices of Ominis and Anne. We quickly redressed ourselves and assumed our normal positions.
"You can't just throw an apple and expect me to catch it now," Ominis joked, laughing while rubbing his head.
"I'm sorry, but you have your sight now, don't you?" Anne chimed in, trying to stifle a giggle.
"Yes, but I still need to work on my coordination..." Ominis began before trailing off as he noticed us now awake and composed.
"Really, Sebastian, you've got to stop giving us heart attacks like that," Ominis said, pulling Sebastian into a tight hug, masking his relief with playful scolding.
"I'm sorry to worry you, Ominis," Sebastian replied, his tone contrite. "But you don't always have to."
"That's like asking water not to be wet," Ominis retorted with a grin. "You always manage to find trouble, don't you?"
Sebastian shifted the conversation, gesturing towards Ominis's eyes. "What we do have to talk about is what in Merlin's name is going on here?"
We delved into a conversation about how I had regenerated Ominis's sight through the power of the Sacred Tasks. Although it was still a relatively new experience for me, I explained my desire to attempt healing Anne of her curse, with her full consent.
To my surprise, Sebastian wholeheartedly agreed, emphasizing the importance of ensuring his sister's consent without any pressure.
We continued discussing how the process might unfold. Anne expressed a preference for it to be just the two of us when I attempted the extraction. Her confidence had grown after witnessing firsthand my success in helping Sebastian with the Imperius Curse.
While we waited for Anne, who had gone to Hogsmeade with a friend, we decided to have a picnic on the beach. As we arranged our lunch beneath the shade, the sun glistened on the waves in the background.
"So, Ominis... I brought up your suggestion with Yvaine," Sebastian admitted shyly, causing Ominis to pause mid-bite, his expression puzzled as he looked up at us.
"I haven't made a decision about it yet... it's a rather unique concept. I don't think it would be fair to either of you," I responded as I took a bite of my sandwich.
"It was merely a suggestion. Sebastian and I both understand the depth of our affection for you, and we value our friendship. We'd figure out what we can or can't handle," Ominis said, reassuringly.
Sebastian and Ominis exchanged a knowing look, their affection for Yvaine evident in their expressions.
"We've talked about it, Yvaine," Sebastian began, his voice gentle yet earnest. "We understand that this situation is unique, and it's not something we'd ever push you into. But the truth is, we both love you deeply, and we've come to terms with the fact that we can't imagine our lives without you in them."
