The following day, we once again focused on helping him acclimate to his new surroundings, with respect to his vision. We began by exploring the natural beauty around the castle in the morning, hoping that the gentle daylight would be more comfortable for his eyes. The way he observed and analyzed his environment was truly endearing. He had an endless stream of questions, and I eagerly answered each one.
Throughout the day, we maintained similar activities, occasionally allowing him to wear tinted glasses to give his eyes a much-needed break. This allowed him to ease back into his usual routine to some extent.
In the evening, we dedicated our time to working in the library, making adjustments to our curriculum in preparation for the return of the students.
Ominis hesitated before asking, "If you don't mind my asking, why Sebastian?"
With some uncertainty, I replied, "Well, I'm not entirely sure... He just treats me differently?
When I'm with him, it's like a fire is ignited within me... I mean... throughout my life, I've always been the one giving orders, being a leader. But with him, he takes that burden away, or at least the idea of it, and I can simply be myself. I know I'm not explaining it quite right. I barely understand my desires.."
"He assumes a more dominant role in your relationship, providing a much-needed respite?" he inquired.
"Something along those lines," I replied. "But with you, it's somewhat the opposite... It's like he's fire and your ice, both equally essential in their own ways. That's how I found myself falling for you, and every letter you sent only deepened my feelings. He burns and you sooth."
"I can offer that fire if it's what you desire in any given moment," he stated, his eyes darkening.
The change in his usually gentle demeanor sent shivers down my spine.
He advanced towards me until I was cornered against a bookshelf.
"What.. what do you mean?" I uttered, a hint of unease in my voice.
"Ssss'laar kethss... naaasss vethsss," he whispered in that eerie Parseltongue. Every time I heard it, my heartbeat quickened.
"You should know, darling, though I do detest it, I am a Gaunt. Power and dominance is in my blood," he murmured darkly.
A serpentine hiss escaped his lips as his fingers traced a path down my throat, before settling in a firm grip.
"Yvaine, most days, I pride myself on being a gentleman. But beneath the surface, there are thoughts, dark and tempting... By Merlin, they'd be deemed forbidden," his voice turned sultry.
"You don't need to shield those yearnings from me, Ominis," I murmured back. "Perhaps, together, we can uncover them."
His eyes bore into mine, a tumultuous dance of longing and restraint swirling within.
Without warning, he whisked me away to the Undercroft, where a bed materialized with sheets of deep emerald and obsidian, colors he could now truly savor.

I felt his presence behind me, like a predator closing in on its target. This new vision of his heightened his assertiveness, making my heart race in anticipation.
"Omi?" My voice quavered.
"Now that I've truly seen what's always been before me, how can I resist?" he murmured, drawing nearer with each word. "The veil has been lifted."
"With these eyes, truly seeing you for the first time... I can't hold back any longer," he confessed, moving closer with each word. "Darling, it's my animalistic right to devour my mate," he declared with a fervor.
