BECKY'S POV :-

The day has come, the day of the event, I am not ready for this but I will not let Freen or Cathy ruin this night for me.

She has moved on

Now it is my time....

" Irin, did you do everything I said ? ". I asked Irin as I checked the arrangements of the event, the decoration and food. " Yeah I went through the guest list, everyone received the invitation in time, Right now I am debriefing the staff and after that everything is set ". I sighed in relief, Dr. Heng told us to see the final arrangements and I don't want to disappoint him.

" Becbec, Are you there ? ". I didn't realise that I was lost in my thought when I heard Irin's voice from the other end. " Yeah what did you just say ? ". I asked, I wasn't aware about what she was talking about. " Do you have a date for the event ? I can cancel mine if you are going alone, I don't need you to suffer when your ex will be there ". I chuckled, I forgot to tell her about my friendly date with Heidi.

" I asked someone already so don't worry, You can peacefully suck your date's mouth, I won't be alone ". I heard Irin scoff from the other line which made me giggle. " I don't do that and also I don't like him that way, it is friendly ". I didn't even believe a word she said, I know they will end up making out at the end of the night.

" So why did you ask him to go with you on this event ? ". I wanted to tease her so I asked a question. " I didn't want to seem lame, a person who brings their best friend to an event plus he is not that hot, women are way better. I haven't hooked up with one in a long time ". I turned the phone way from my ear, I didn't want to hear talk about sex over the phone.

" Okay so why didn't you ask a woman ? ". I giggled when I heard Irin groan. " Stop making fun of me !! Tell me something about your date ? ". I didn't give her an answer verbally instead I just sent her a picture from Heidi's social media.

" What the fuck ? How did you find her ? How do you keep finding hot women and I end up with these jerks ? ". I let out a laugh which made decorators look towards me in amusement. " Who is she ? Is she single ? Where did you meet her back ? ". Irin bombarded me with questions without taking a breath.

" Hold up, hold up, She is not single, she is married and I met her at the bar ". When I gave her the answer, all she could say was 'oh'. " So I don't have a chance ". Irin said again and I chuckled. " No and she is way older than us, I thought you didn't date people older than you ". I joked and Irin whined on the other line.

" That was in the past, How old is she ? ". I groaned, I shouldn't have sent her Heidi's picture, I hope she doesn't embarrass me in front of her. " Stop it ! I told you she is married, Irin. She is 34 years old who is happily married and very much in love with her wife ". I sighed and massaged my temples, if she continues with this, she will give me a headache.

" Okay, I will see you at the event, Will you atleast introduce me to her ? ". Irin shyly said and I fucking cut the call right there.

What has gotten into her ?

" Everything is done, Miss Armstrong ". A worker informed me before taking his leave, I nodded and left the venue as well, I needed to get ready and not much time was left for the event.

I called Heidi to confirm that she is coming as my date, I didn't want her to leave me hanging as we didn't talk much after shopping in the mall.

Heidi :- Hello kid ! What do you want ?

( I chuckled when she addressed me as a kid, I heard that her wife smacked her head. )
