The Heart Never Forgets

CHAPTER TWELVE

Becky woke up when sunrays hit her face, groaning as it disturbed her sleep, she slips out of bed and goes out of the room. She almost forgot that she was in Freen's penthouse. She was thankful that the weather was now clear and the electricity connection was back on.

She stood in front of the couch where Freen was sleeping, her left leg hanging down, from the awkward position Becky could say that the couch was definitely small for her body. The cute snores of the older lady reached her ears and she unconsciously smiled at the view of her.

Becky didn't want to wake her up from her slumber so she decided to leave her penthouse without informing her. She checked her phone, network connection was working perfectly fine so she called her brother Richie and sent him her location so that he can quickly come to pick her up.

" Why and how did you come here ? ". Richie asked his sister as soon as she got in the car. " The network connection was down yesterday and I desperately needed a ride home ". Becky sighed heavily, Richie's question was still not answered. " How did you end up here Becky ? The building looks expensive ". Richie stared at the building from where his sister came. " Yeah I know, I mean that's why Freen lives here ". When his sister mentioned Freen's name, Richie's expression changed.

" Don't tell me you spent the night with her ". Richie was not able to process the information provided by Becky. " She was the best option available at the moment ". Becky shrugged, she was not that bothered by it, unlike her brother. " You could have taken the bus ". Richie said and it made Becky roll her eyes. " Really Richie ?!! didn't you see the weather yesterday ? ". Becky snapped at her brother and he knew he was acting a little unreasonable. " Shit sorry, sorry ! I am just worried about you. I mean after what happened with her and now you spending the night with her ". Richie sighed and looked at his sister worried.

" I know and believe me this doesn't change anything, I still haven't forgiven her ''. Becky was unsure about it but she knew that she was still angry with Freen.

Last night doesn't change anything, right ?

Becky shaked her head and didn't let her thoughts worry her even more than she already was.

Freen woke up when she fell down from the couch and hit her butt on the ground. She forgot that she was sleeping on the couch so when she tried to change her position, she fell on the floor. She got her herself up, groaning and rubbing her butt, she went into her room to check what the younger woman was doing. She found that her bed was empty, frowning at the sight she went to check inside the bathroom, there were no traces of the woman in her house.

Did she leave ? Without saying goodbye ?

When Freen had confirmed her suspicion, she sighed and rubbed her temples, realising that their relationship still needs time. She made a mental note to herself that she will visit Becky in the hospital this morning so that she can invite her to dinner later tonight.

She desperately wanted Becky to forgive her...

Freen was now fully dressed ready for her work but she had to make one stop before heading to her company. Freen parked her car in the hospital parking lot and quickly rushed inside. " Miss what can I help you with ? ". The receptionist asked Freen before letting her go inside to meet Becky.

" I...umm.. I wanted ". Freen was cut off in between her sentence when she saw Becky entering the hospital, she must have gone home first before coming to the hospital. Freen smiled at her thought and while looking at the woman she wanted to meet.

" Miss Sarocha what are you doing here ? ". Becky asked the older woman, stunned to see her in the hospital. " I came here to see Dr. Heng ". Freen lied as she was embarrassed to let Becky know her real intention behind her early morning visit to the hospital.
