The Heart Never Forgets

CHAPTER FOURTY FOUR

It was another new day for Freen and she still wanted to continue her quest to win Becky's heart again, she felt sudden motivation when she woke up today but it soon faded away when she remembered she has to go to work.

Richard called yesterday and specifically said that Freen should come to work now, her days off work are over. She couldn't find time to buy flowers for Becky and even milk tea but it was not like she wouldn't try.

" What are we going to do, Jasper ? Do you want to come to work with me ? ". Freen had to ask that question from Jasper, because she vividly remembers the last time she took Jasper to work, he apparently got irritated and tore Freen's documents.

Jasper ignored Freen's question, displaying his disinterest in going to her owner's office but Freen was afraid to leave Jasper alone at her penthouse for long, if it was for a few hours she wouldn't worry this much but today was completely packed for her.

" Would you like to spend the day with your aunt Nam ? ". Freen asked the furry creature another question, after the mention of Nam, Jasper meowed. " Then let me call her ". Freen picked up her phone to call Nam and then request her to look after Jasper but in that moment her penthouse door opened.

" You bastards forgot about me right ? ". Nam entered the penthouse with food in her hands, Freen grinned. " Speak of the devil ". She muttered under her breath but nonetheless she was happy that Nam was already here, she could leave for work earlier than before.

" I brought breakfast ". Nam announced and Freen sighed in happiness, it saved her trouble to make something. As both of the women ate food and silently sipped on their coffee, Jasper whined and asked for food as well, Freen emptied a can into his bowl after she finished her quick breakfast.

" It is actually good that you are here, look after Jasper while I am at work ". It was more like an order and less like a request from Freen. " It doesn't sound like a request ". Nam snorted and crossed her arms in front of her chest, Freen rolled her eyes at this.

" You are not going to say no so do it ". Freen ruffled Nam's hair and then gave a kiss to Jasper before leaving to work. She couldn't give Becky her milk tea for Breakfast but she was set on getting her a rose bouquet this evening and leave it at their doorstep again.

Freen was scared to send her a photo of herself, but she did after some thinking, she remembers when both of them started dating Becky used to love seeing her texts and photos while she was at work, she knew that it may not be as same as before but she had to try, after all Becky read her previous messages that she sent yesterday so she had hope.

" Ma'am we have to do something to increase our company's profit, Investors are demanding changes if we don't meet their expectations ". Richard informed Freen the second she steps foot out of her personal elevator.

" I know Richard, I maybe on leave but this is still my company I know what happens here ". Freen said and Richard just nodded. " Then have you thought about something ? ". Richard was anxious about this situation, all investors were quite serious about the situation that happened.

" Yes, I have thought about spreading our wings and try something new this time ". Freen grinned and Richard was completely clueless about what she is talking about. " Print the documents I have emailed you and meet me in the office ". Richard just nodded and went to do what Freen said.

" Are you really serious about this ? ". Richard didn't believe what he just read from the documents Freen emailed him. " Yeah but first I have to meet with the bar owner ". Freen had decided to try launching a drink produced by her company and try selling it in clubs and bars, it was uncharted territory for her and her business but she wanted to try it.
